Domain Names-How long to keep For Amazon Niche sites

If you have an Amazon niche site and it is not making any money, would it be better to just get rid of the domain after a year and find a better domain name?

I have some domains coming up for renewal and I've not made any sales from them.

Would it be good to keep it for another year and work on the SEO more since the site is already made?

    In the scheme of things the actual domain name is near the bottom of your worries.
    If you are not getting sales, it's not the domain name. It's more likely a lack of traffic or the product doesn't sell well.

    Thanks. I've been researching so I'm going to take a close look at the products and redo some of my stores.

      Hi gsdlady

      Punch the main keywords for the sites into the google keyword tool and see if they're still receiving searches. I've got sites promoting products which have long been discontinued but are still receiving decent levels of traffic, this traffic is then pushed over to updated models etc

    Just curious. What research did you complete prior to purchasing the domains and creating these sites? What was your traffic/promotion plan for these sites at that time?
