    I would say there is NOT one "best" way...just different ways.

    In addition, just browse around the Forum and you'll see many different (and quite specific) game plans for getting started with affiliate marketing. Whether you promote digital products, physical products, or software is really irrelevant IF you have the proper foundation (specifically, keywords) in place.

    Both have their pros and cons.

    Software comm payouts can be quite high and they can also be delivered instantly; while a physical product has to be shipped and the commissions not as high.

    On the other hand, affiliate marketing of physical products provide plenty of opportunities. There's lots of money to be made with the millions of physical products available. Many of these opportunities are often overlooked by affiliates. Just as any amazon affiliate guru. Not me by the way
