Hi, so I am going to try my hand at article marketing clickbank products review style. Is it okay for me to direct link to the affiliate/sales page of the vendor? Or do i need a website of my own?

Thanks

Depends upon where you are posting your articles. No decent article directory will allow you to direct link. You will need a website or even a squidoo page will do but not the direct affiliate link. There are many other restrictions as well in sites like ezinearticles.com

From what I know, there are a few directories out there that allow this, but they are so overrun by spam that it just isn't worth it. Just buy a domain, make a small landing page and direct people there.

You definitely need your own website. I am yet to see an article directory worth its salt that lets you insert direct affiliate links.

Besides, it gives you a chance to either pre-sell the offer, or sign them up to your list when you have your own website, so definitely the way to go.

You need to have a website (blog) of your own. If you're going to use article sites, they should be to drive traffic to your own blog. In other words, all the product reviews (where your commissions will ultimately come from) need to be on your own blog so that you can control the content. You can write an article for an article site to get a backlink and some traffic, but the link in the article (or resource box) should take them to your blog. Also, like they said, most sites don't let you direct link anymore.

Could i use one domain, and make a subdomain for each product redirecting to sales page?

If you're going to be promoting many different products, then it's best to either have each one on their own domain (which means up front cost for each domain), or, you would buy a generic domain (say, mycbreviews.com) and have sub-domains for each.

Generic domain is the way to go if you're using sub-domains, because something like "myniche1review.myniche2review.com" would look unprofessional - hope that makes sense : - )

I don't really know exactly what this means.

If you mean that you're going to try to promote ClickBank products by circulating "review style articles" about those products, that has little to do with article marketing. At best it might be a kind of article directory marketing.

It depends what you mean by "okay".

If you're referring to whether it's permitted, that's determined by the owners of every website on which you post, isn't it, just like you and I get to make up the rules on your website and mine? Whenever you post anything on a site you don't yourself own, you need to read the terms of service.

If you're referring to whether it's permitted by ClickBank, then yes - they don't actually prohibit it.

If you're asking whether you'll actually make any sales that way, then no - you probably won't. For the reasons explained here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5210243

You do. You need (at the very least) a way to build a list.

Alexa's right. You're probably better off setting up a nice squeeze page where you offer something of value in exchange for them opting into your mailing list.

You can then promote this free gift inyour resource box. Offer value in your aricles, send them to get their free gift and gain a subscriber.

Then you can keep providing your saubscribers with value as well as promote good relevant products.

Lots of different variables and angles here, but that is just one of them.
