INTERNET MARKETING

Hi

Can anybody advise on some decent (maybe even Free) software that I can use to make a video to put on my squeeze page please?

I have looked at Animoto but am not feeling the love for this kind of video. I would prefer to make one with me actual speaking

Hi Dalchow1,

If I have understood you correctly, you want to make a movie type video (because you mention animoto?) If so, try Windows Movie Maker or iMovie for Mac.

If you don't want to make a movie...just record a simple vid on your web cam and upload it to YouTube.com. You can use handbrake.fr to encode it for iPad/iPhone viewing.

Use the share button in Youtube to get the 'url' needed for copying into your squeeze page.

Thanks guys for your help. Ill have a look at all those. Yep I want to make a video of the same kind as that on my website. Just a plain, simple "me talking to camera about the product" and to upload it onto my squeeze page.

Windows Movie Maker might be your best bet. I personally hate it, because it locks up on me every 3 minutes. If you need a free movie maker though, it may be your #1 option. I suggest saving after every few things you do to ensure you don't lose 1/2 hour of work (like I did).

If you just want to talk to the camera, you don't need much in the way of software. You need a camera, and you can just upload the raw footage straight to YouTube or to your web server if you're happy with the un-edited quality.

Otherwise:

1) SIMPLE editing in Windows Movie Maker will suit you.
2) Use Handbrake (free software) to re-encode at a web-friendly data rate and format (h.264 MPG 4 video).

3) Shoot the raw video and hire someone on Fiverr, oDesk, etc to edit it for you.

ADVICE: Get a cheap lavalier microphone (ATR 3350 is cheap), and this will help your audio tremendously. Don't use the on-camera mic.

There are a lot of software in making a video. You may search online for free software if that is what you prefer or you may also buy one.

Consider finding a few clients on/offline, and
offer to shoot their video.

Provide an agreement and accept a partial down
payment.

2-5 clients should get you the funds to purchase
a software solution of your choice.
