Hi, I am looking for two specific WP 2.7.1 plugins... 1) I need a plugin that creates links that go from one place on a page to another part of the same page. The problem is that Wordpress kills the code if I used the visual editor. I realize I can turn off the visual editor and use the html editor only, but I need to leave it on because I'm turning this site over to someone else when I'm done. 2) I'm also looking for a plugin that will easily create drop down menu's in my top nav bar. There are a couple out there but they don't seem very easy to implement. Thank you! Steve |

Can't help with 1). 2) - if you choose a template that is designed to work with WP 2.7, drop down menus will be created automatically if you use pages and subpages - I can PM you an example if it would help |

In reference to #1 are you talking about creating anchor jump tags? In other words, create a link that when clicked, jumps down to a certain point in the page? -Brad |

I figured it out and I was able to create the links. Weird because I thought it wouldn't work since WP messes with HTML code sometimes. Oh well, thanks anyway everyone! Steve |

Hey Steve If you get FCK Editor you can easily add tags, anchors, tables etc. Turns it more into a powerful editor. Dean?s FCKEditor for WordPress - a WYSIWYG editor plugin : DEAN LEE:/DEV/BLOG As rose said you get the new style editors and they are already enables for 2.7. I also now use Artisteer for my themes and it is a built in function. Artisteer 2 the new way to design Wordpress Themes | The Internet Marketers Club Q |

They are called anchors Steve. So you go to a part of your page you want a link to jump to and insert a tag and name it. Then you can add a link to that place in the page anytimne you want people to go there. So for example if you go to my site MP3 Sound Stream Software Streaming Audio made Easy and click on quick purchase you get sent down to the payment link which is where I put ythe anchor. I can also send you direct to the link using the url. MP3 Sound Stream Software Streaming Audio made Easy which looks like this mp3soundstream dot com/#purchase Just look up in the address bar. Hope this helps |
