You all know that the Iphone 5 is set to release around the end of September to early October.

About 5 months ago I bought a Iphone 5 domain and was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I could do with it?

What could you do with it?

Make a blog about iPhone 5's, make the site an opt-in page claiming iPhone 5 pre-orders, iPhone 5 affiliate links (even though I don't think there's commissions on iPhones?), sell fake Chinese iPhone 5 knockoffs, ect..

All that before Apple decides the domain is in violation of their trademark, and asks for it back.

Yeah, guess Apple could do that but I really don't care. What are they going to do sue me? I don't have anything of worth anyways. Maybe I should just see if I can sell the domain.

It would be quite upsetting to put lots of work into building an IPhone 5 website, and when you finally begin to receive lots of traffic, it would instantly get shut down. You wouldn't even be able to redirect from the domain. It's best to stay away from that all together.

Very true. I registered it awhile ago and may just try to sell it, so I can continue working on my business.

So how come your taking time off from your business, which activity should be making you money, to risk all for the sake of being at risk of being sued?

And now you state you want to palm this irresponsibility off on to someone else? Wow. Okayyy. Doesn't make a lot of sense but rather an interesting statement nonetheless.

Don't you think you might be better sticking to what you already know to be profitable rather than taking needless diversions into unknown / uncharted territory?

Just take the $12 loss and move on.

That would be like trying to sell a stolen car.

Another question for you to think about...

Why would you put yourself into a position of risk, getting sued, which action could easily cost you a six figure sum or more for such a paltry potential low return?

Think about what you're asking / stating here.

As I said, you're not making a lot of sense Mav.

Selling it would be profiting of the iphone5 trademark and would be illegal.

You might want to read this thread http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...trademark.html

And yes they might sue you.

True. I wasn't really thinking when I registered it. I'll just let it whither away.
