Does Anyone Here Use CloudFlare? What Do You Think?

Hi Guys,

I was thinking of signing up for the free version of Cloudflare.

Does anyone here have any experience using it and can recommend whether or not to use it?

Does it make your site noticeably faster for instance?

Cheers,

Kenneth

It shaved a few seconds off load times. With how insanely simple it is to set up (and the fact that it is free) there really isn't a reason not to use it.

I agree with the previous poster. You really should be able to add this if you opt not to use a CDN like Cloudfront.

I just signed up with Cloudfare and my site is running much faster also. It was a very pleasant surprise.

Great to hear. Assuming you're in AU, we only recently launched our datacenter there because of demand from users in the AU.

I just started using Cloudflare a couple weeks ago and love it. It definitely makes your site a little faster, plus you get security features/analytics and a ton of plugins like InfoLinks, UserVoice, etc.

If you're using WordPress, a combination of Cloudflare and W3 Total Cache can really make your site fly - just be wary of editing any PHP or CSS while either of the two are enabled and make sure to purge the cache any time you make changes.

We actually shouldn't impact the PHP at all (CSS, yes).

While I sound like a broken record at times with W3TC and CloudFlare, please make sure you only turn one minify option on only (use only W3TC's or ours...conflicts can arise).
