[Question for Affiliates] Physical Product or Electronic?

Hello! Im just wondering to ask from your experience do you have higher conversions/sales when your site is affiliated with a eBook/product or a physical product? Such as from (sellhealth affiliate site, moreniche, and others you might use).

    Since I am an affiliate for physical products I can tell you that people buy them.

    But I do think it totally depends on what people are looking for. If they are searching for information, then they might buy an ebook or they might buy a product that you are telling them helps with the problem they are seeking to learn about.

    So...in my opinion (not experience since I don't do ebook type marketing yet), it would totally depend on what people are looking for.

    In my experience, the conversion rates for physical products are generally quite a bit higher.

    That's because you're buying something tangible!

    However, some ebooks I've sold convert even better, so it's not an exact science.

    It really depends. When buyers search using buyer keywords ("product review", for instance) for electronically delivered goods, I've seen the conversion rates go quite high. When buyers search for physical product buyer keywords, again the conversion rates are really high (think "product coupon").

    If they haven't been presold, however, I think both types of conversion rates are pretty low and how well the product converts depends mostly on how credible your website appears and how the product is perceived. You don't want to promote anything that might look cheesy/cheap or in some cases, too complicated to use. It will help a great deal to really research your target audience and choose the product according to what you suspect they want.

    I have niches where physical sells better, and two where ebooks sell better. It's very situation/audience dependent. You won't be finding a one-size-fits-all answer unfortunately.

    I never tried Physical Products so can't comment on that but Ebooks and Electronic products seems to convert better in my opinion.
