Health Insurance For Full time IMers?

I'm seriously thinking of going full time in Internet Marketing but one of my main concerns is where to get affordable health insurance. Anybody has any idea or suggestions?

Unless you can afford the premiums (ie: United Healthcare wanted to charge me nearly $2k a month for a family plan) -- then I'd say State sponsored insurance may be the way to go.

Yea health insurance is a big problem when it comes to costs however do NOT stop paying for healthcare as one small surgery or trip to the emergency room can cost $1000 or wipe you out of everything you have. Does your wife have a healthcare plan?

I have done IM fulltime for a long time and the healthcare thing is getting crazy. I am 33 with no health problems. Heck, knock on wood, but i haven't been to the doctor for anything other than a physical in years. I don't smoke, drink socially, no pre-existing conditions, slightly over weight, but no where near anything serious. i have a $25,000 deductible and I pay about $150 a month (just me) for what amounts to pretty much just major medical coverage. It sucks.

Have you tried looking at the options in eHealthInsurance?

many of the companies there offer a lower rate than i am currently paying. That rate holds for a few months and then it seems as though every time they send a bill, they also enclose a nice letter stating that the premiums are going up XX%.

A $25.000 deductible, that is a high amount. I understand that with a deductible that high the premium is low. I have something similar, but only $7500.00.
