I'm Thinking Of Renting A Page On My Website

Ok, so I have unlimited amount of pages on my website to create. I'm thinking of creating a page and renting it out. The person will be able to put up pictures, videos, music, contact info, etc. I will set up the page for them with all the info they provide me with. I may bill them weekly or monthly. Question is: How much should I rent out the page for?

If this isn't the correct place to put this, then please let me know. Thank You

    It will only succeed if your website is super successful.
    Else people can try blooger or WP.
    Else there are many other sites like ads site, classifieds, biz directory etc.

    This is an interesting thought. Probably could work if there was a serious benefit to being on your website.

    A few questions come to mind:

    Do you have a high PR?

    Very high traffic to your site?

    Will all of these sites be interlinked, or their own "properties"?

    How will you moderate what content is put there, or will you?

    I am targeting a very specific crowed. I am also targeting people that have no internet experience. I will offer to run everything myself (updating the site regularly when needed). My website does get pretty good views everyday. That is why I was considering doing this in the first place. My website has a high volume rate. I will also be providing the person with flyers for their part of the website (free of charge).

      I used to do a 3 page site as a sub-domain for clients for $10 per month, but I think 1 page is worth $10 per month.

      It's worth thinking that many people can't or never bother to update their own pages, so you're offering a good service, even though people can get something free or cheaper.

    Get ready for competition. There are just way too many free host sites and free blog sites online. Unless you're going to be offering a COMPELLING feature that users can't get from other sites, get ready for some serious challenges...

    I can't see the benefit for renting out a page on your website. Even if your site gets a lot of visitors - surely the majority will read the most up to date content and ignore stale content that was written a couple f weeks ago. So, that means the person renting the page will have to do his/her own seo - which makes no sense at all.

    How are you going to justify the lack of eyeballs on the old content? How is the content going to be found without the owner of the page having to do their own promotion.

    Am I missing something?

    Maybe it could work if you offered a package for promoting the page. Or at least a banner of some sort directing people to the page via your homepage.

    You will get a huge response for sure. Competition will be there for anything in the web. But starting is something very big which can lead towards success.

    If your site is of little or no significance in terms of traffic then you it's going to be worthwhile submitting free content to article directories, web 2.0s, press release and others. Besides, there are many bloggers with traffic that allows blog post.

    Before you put in the resource to do this, you should check out with your competitors and put up an equal fight.
