Creating video testimonials/reviews - how the hell to do it well on a budget?

ok so a lot of people use powerpoint/camtasia to make demo-based or info-based videos but i don't think that's a good combination for review/testimonial type videos

what is best for this method? I know videohive do nice templates but i think you need to purchase a software like after effects to edit them

is there any software or template available to buy out there that has a nice animated or professional and stylish lookign design for a review or testimonial type video.

If not then I suppose one could ask a guy/gal on fiverr to do it but that's not really sustainable over a long period, the quality isn't that great and there are limitations like number of words, not to mention waiting time etc

so in short, any suggestions at all guys to doing this type of video well on a budget, it doesn't have to be a person in front of a game, it can be animation or text-based or nice authoritative voiceover or whatever - any tips would be appreciated for software, resources or methods to create professional looking testimonial/review video, ideally I wouldn't like to buy lighting/green screen stuff to do it myself, i'd prefer a more automated way to do it so software and or template suggestions would be much appreciated

For me, it isn't the software that's the biggest concern, it's the product images you'll use in the video.

Where do you get product images you can use and be respectful of copyrights? Some say Amazon. But if I remember correctly, according to the Amazon TOS in order to use their images you need to do so in a way that Amazon can update them dynamicially, in case something changes.

If you can solve the problem of images, then there's tons of different video software applications you can use.

I LOVE screenflow for the Mac. It's cheap and works like a charm!

I also use acamm recorder for video interviews and recording anything via skype. Its awesome for doing online interviews.

You may want to check out mixergy to find some great nuggets on how to do this without a ton of technology, as that is his thing.

    Good luck!

  • Hi

Have you ever looked at Fiverr? Therere is a lot of crud on there, but you can also discover some gems - and at $5, you aren't wasting a lot to find those gems - just a thought

Try this online tool called Prezi...Prezi - The Zooming Presentation Editor. There is a free and paid verstion. You can create amazing slideshows that zoom and pan to images and text. After you create your show you can record it with something like cam studio or jing. You can add your own voice or have someone here on WF or Fiverr do it for you.
