Making the established site flip jump

Hello World. As I have had success (and failures) in my startup site flipping, I think it is time I now make the move to established sites. I know that my work is extremely cut out for me in this realm but I now have the money and the willpower to make these work for me. Here is my plan:

1. I have twenty four articles coming to me in the next few days (twelve each in two hot niches). I will post up two on the sites first but then drip feed the other ten over the course of 30 days.

2. Of course I'll be promoting the sites like crazy (questions on that coming soon). I hope that with my efforts I can have the sites make around $2-$3 a day on Adsense and just MAYBE some affiliate commissions (question on that coming as well).

3. And with my efforts, assuming no affiliate commissions, I can make $60-$90 a month with each site with Adsense, which I turn around and flip for a years worth of Adsense income ($720-$1080).

Now that I laid out the plan, I have my questions:

1. Twelve articles for each site is quite enough to reach the $2-$3 Adsense plateau, correct? Or would I need more?

2. Is $60-$90 a month for your first month actually realistic or am I being way too overboard?

3. I am going to outsource most of the work, of course. But here is the thing: I can rewrite articles myself (rewrote ten in four hours before). But there are some of the promotion tactics I'll be needing done. Here is a list off the top of my head:

Article marketing (rewrite the twenty four articles (probably like six a day) and submit them to Ezine (myself) then rewrite them again and get article directory submission done (which I will need outsourced)
Social Bookmarking (This I can do myself, only takes like 10 minutes an article to get it on the top bookmarking sites, just a boring repetitive task; But I won't be doing all the articles at once)
Pinging (Again, I can do this alone and will only take literally 2 minutes)
Blog Commenting (Outsourcing this)
Relevant Forum Posting (Outsourcing this)
Video Marketing (Outsourcing unless I can find a way to do this in the LEAST time possible)

Those are off the top of my head. Add in some more promotion tasks I'd need to do please. But the question is this: What costs can I expect from the outsourcing out of all of these (well, the ones I said I was gonna outsource haha)?

Give me all the advice you can give me here my flippin' brothers.

For $60 - $90 a month for the first month maybe possible depends on the niche you're targeting and how you manage to drive traffic to your site. If you manage to get 150 unique a day to your site and the niche is good I guess that is possible.

If you plan to outsource , better get 1 full time staff that works for you 8 hours a day , 6 days a week, this option is better than per job basis.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I am not an expert in site flipping but base on what I am seeing I am guessing you should be able to get about $1000 for the site.

I would suggest you try and get a least a few affiliate commission though as most people like to see big numbers when it comes to revenue.

You could also do some press releases to help promote the website.

It depends on the niche and how good your CTR is. Some niches I can reach $3 per day in AdSense with two or three articles, and some of them require 30-50 articles before that is reached.

I'd focus on maximizing CTR, whatever you do. Play around with colors and ad placement until you get a decent CTR.

    Hi Biggy,

First of all I'd like to commend you on having two things that will help you succeed ... Willpower and a Plan!

Here are my thoughts on your questions ...

    1. 12 to 15 articles is sufficient though it depends on the kind of niches you're targeting. Stick to the more popular niches, possibly targeting keywords that will likely pay out more in AdSense commissions, and you should be fine.

    2. $60-$90 a month - To be honest with you I think that it's going to be tough in month one unless you can also pick up affiliate commissions from other avenues such as CPA offeres or Clickbank product sales. A lot of the promotional things you'll be doing are going to take a few weeks to kick in ...

    3. Think you've got most of it covered. With regards to outsourcing costs, I can only speak for the things that I've outsourced myself in the past:

    Article submissions - $25
    Link Directory submissions - $20

I'm sure there are cheaper services available but I suggest you find someone with sufficient experience and a good reputation. They may charge a little more but they'll do a better job and get it done within the timescales you require.

Other ways to promote your sites include building the sites targeted for specific keywords in the first place (for organic traffic) plus press releases to drive traffic to the sites 3 to 4 days prior to listing them for sale.

    Also here's a killer tactic ...

Once you have the websites set up and some content on them, list the sites on a couple of popular SEO and IM forums for a review - this will help get back links to your site from well-indexed high authority sites, it'll get traffic to your sites, plus you'll get plenty feedback on your sites to improve them.

Hope this helps and I wish you success on your transition to the "Established Sites" arena.

    All the best,
    Tony

    Hey Biggy,

That's actually very similar to my plan!

Except ... I'm going to keep mine going for 6 months - have 60 articles on each site (drip fed in over time) and promote with 40 articles (rewrites of the original 60) and use social bookmarking, videos and rss feeds for further promotion.

The reason I am keeping mine for 6 months is that I often find that it takes several months for a site to fully benefit from the promotional activities done early on. I have literally had sites that after 4 or 5 months shot up to 5 or 6 times the traffic and, therefore, income. And this is all while I have been doing no extra promotional work to the sites for months.

To me, it seems like a waste to put a lot of effort into the site and then "sell it before it's time". You might be leaving a lot of money on the table simply by not waiting a few months.

Plus with 6 months of track record you can easily get 18X monthly income - maybe even more but that is what I have gotten in the past.

I think it will be tough to make the $2-$3 a day in just 30 days with only the 12 articles, you'll have to choose the niche very carefully - I hope you can do it, though - not trying to discourage you at all.

    Please keep us posted!
