So, how to protect myself on Flippa?

So, the listing has ended. Luckily it was a buyer with $20k transaction history, with no feedback -- is this a good sign?

What should I do next? in order to protect myself?
How do I transfer domain names(namecheap), and websites(hosted on hostgator)?
What are the procedures of transferring sites?
What are the orders? wait for buyer to deposite the money first?

Sorry, just wanted to make sure things are right.

So.... apparently the buyer was suspended after winning my website for 2 days..
At the "Post-Sale Discussion", the buyer don't respond to me.. I still have the website, he still have done anything yet.

MEANWHILE, flippa charged me for SUCCESSFUL listing fee?
I have submitted tickets to flippa already, because that's totally bs.

First time selling on flippa, how should I go with this situation?
Is this how people said flippa was scamming?

Sounds weird ! Since you cant undo those settings, just be praying the auction winner should be someone with good reputation. You'll be safe when dealing with old buyers than new (sca*)buyers !

Is this your first transfer? it's pretty easy(godaddy), you just need buyers customer number and email that is on file on godaddy, and then just initiate account change in your godaddy account.. I assume it's the same with namecheap.. and for the website files, you could use one of the cloning scripts like wptwin script, and then just clone the site with a few clicks and upload it to a buyers hosting..this is fastest and easiest way

You can negotiate with a buyer after sale about what kind of transaction would be to a both parties satisfactory..

      I hope this helps you..

With the $20k history, could it be $20k that he spent before, but have any chance that he charged back already?

Thank you so so much for the tips! I appreciate the help!

I don't think so.. he would be suspicious long way before he get to 20k transactions and would be banned already if that is the case..

Those scam members got recognized fast on Flippa

20k spent in flippa without any feedback is ok because not all people leaves feedbacks and if he is still not suspended you are safe.

Make sure you get content information form this seller so you can reach him with other way that just flippa.

Escrow is not mandatory but I would recommend it if you are dealing with websites worth over $2000, if the website is smaller there is no point for using Escrow because it takes quite a bit of time to proceed.

    Good luck and play safe!

    Here's a guide/instructions for transferring the site
    http://domainingdiva.com/transfer.pdf

If this is a high end sale, I recommend doing to via escrow.com. It protects both of you.

Virtual Real Estate as well as real estate in general should go through a third party or some kind of escrow account.

I don't know what the value of the sale is but judging by your concerns you might want to work it through escrow.

Having said that, this is exactly how you learn to fly-by doing. By getting behind the controls, pressing on the rudder to steer on the ground and correct for adverse yaw in flight.

You are also here in the WF asking questions to allay your concerns and seek a path blazed by knowledgeable Warriors who have been there and done that.

Another +1 for Escrow. I haven't ever heard of one of our users who regretted going through Escrow.com.

Go to the dispute resolution part of your Flippa account and start the dispute. You'll get relisted for free. Calling Flippa a scam when you haven't entered into the dispute process that they set up for such things is ... well, simply not true. You will get your site relisted for free and I believe the success fee refunded. It was the buyer who is the scammer, not Flippa.
