How much would you pay?

I am in the process of creating a training course for starting a drop ship eCommerce business.

The course consists of seven training modules:

Niche Selection
Market Research
Creating Your Website
Getting Approved with Drop Shippers
Optimizing Your Website For Conversions
Generating Traffic
Business Automation

It also includes two bonus training modules:

Five Days To Success Action Plan
How To Sell Your Website For Six Figures

The course includes a PDF download of all of the training modules but the main benefit is a LIFETIME subscription to the members area of the course.

This members area includes:

- Over 30 video tutorials that walk you through each training module via screen shares
- All of the content from the PDF Guides
- A list of all of the resources and outsourcers that I use
- ALL of my personal contact information (e-mail, skype, facebook & phone number) so that you can reach out to me if you get stuck anywhere along the way
- A private forum to discuss the course teachings and ask questions

I have completed all of the programming and I am planning on going live next week. The problem is I am having trouble trying to pin down the right price point. The information provides incredible value and everyone that has watched the videos and read the manual loves it but I have NO IDEA what I should charge for it.

If I didn't include the personalized support (I'm literally going be there to walk every customer through the course if they need extra assistance) I would probably price it at $37 - 47 to make it affordable for anyone who is serious about doing business online.

The issue is that the support part is going to take time so I have to charge more. I don't want to leave the support part out because I understand that people do have questions, people do run into roadblocks and people do next "extra help".

So my question is, what would you pay for this type of lifetime membership?

(It's important to note that I am planning on offering a $7 seven day trial period, if you're happy with course information, videos, and support you would be billed for the balance seven days after your sign up. Memberships will be sold through ClickBank).

$37-47 dollars sounds like reasonble price to me.

My advice is I would drop that $7 to $1 or less. I believe it has been proven you get more customers if they can try something for free before purchasing.

I think you could probably make this subscription based.

If there is ongoing support, forum, if you add new suppliers from time to time, and continue to add some value, then I don t see why you wouldn t get monthly payment.

You could drip feed your existing content to make sure people stay more than 1 month.

I think you'll be happy to get recurring revenue, and I think you can easily justify it.

What is your competition charging? Are they providing the same value? You have to consider that also.

Such niche is really in demand and couple of my clients have a price point starting from $49- $79.

They do have direct hot line coaching system as well as skype and other video calling system. Fortnightly conference system and group discussion and problem solving as well.

Cann't wait to see a new unique content, best wishes.

      Kind regards,

        Thank you!

Do your clients charge a one time fee of $49 - $79 or do they have have a monthly subscription fee?

I actually did consider this but I have never launched a subscription product in the past so I really don't know how to price one...

My thoughts for the lifetime membership were:

      - $7 for your seven day trial
      - $90 billed seven days later if you want to keep your lifetime membership

Do you have any experience with recurring billing products? How would the $97 price point translate to recurring charge?

Any and all advice is appreciated.

Also consider where you're going to promote and who are your prospects...

    alksense,

there is nothing more difficult about it.

Just build a membership site and set it up to drip feed content.
Take payments through paypal by setting up a subscription button.

Make it $4,95 or less for 5 or 7 days, then $39 or $49 per month.

make sure you have enough content to feed for at least 2 months.
Build an active community on your forum, that will increase your retention rate.

Anything else I can help with, just let me know.

      How much would I pay?

If you are just providing information...maybe a few dollars...maybe nothing.

But if you have proof that you are making real money dong exacly the same thing you would be teaching...and you have real students that are also already making money doing exactly what you are teaching....

Now you have a real offer. And $300-500 wouldn't be out of line.

I'm working with a few people now and trying to get them to sign releases and provide me with their earning screenshots. I've been creating my own eCommerce sites for almost seven years though but only helping others do so recently. I've been creating websites and automating eCommerce systems for clients for a few months now but no one wants to share their results! (my guess is they're afraid of future competition). I know how important that is to potential members though and I am working on it.

At this point all I have as proof of is my personal success... consistent six figure months proven in my sales video.

Thank you for the input though!

Then you should show results from your own websites. Nothing would be more powerful. I started my onlime marketing business by letting people just look up "vacuum cleaners wooster ohio". They would see three websites, a few videos, and a couple listings....8 of the first 10...mine.

Proof that you are doing what you are teaching is what you need, and it's what you have.

Look at "Little Fish Marketing". I paid (If I remember) $500 for that course, and thought it was a bargain.

After you have maybe 200 customers, you should build a workshop around your course. Sell your course, and then the workshop. Much more money there. Good luck.

Hey man... way to cheap. Especially if you're giving contact info, you're asking for a support nightmare.

Now if you take out the contact info and forum then maybe, but still... I've found the best clients who actually are serious about their business will pay a lot more. It's weird... for the cheap stuff people whine moan complain and make threats all day long. But the high end customers are awesome to work with.

If you do go on the cheap then I would suggest making the contact info and forum oto's.

I agree with Don Grace. Forum and support will take you too much. But if you have monthly payment, you may be able to ousource it soon. That s another reason I would go for subscription.

Are you talking 6 figure sales or profit?

6 figures sales in ecommerce is nothing that impressive and margins are low. So I agree training can make you a lot more.

Yeah I know. But it would make lots of people happy and these sites can be flipped nicely too.

    For a lifetime membership? .... $97.

I would actually split test the prices.

I've found that if I sell an ebook for $7, and then split test it for $47, I sell just as many $47s as I do $7.

Is that the case for you? I don't know, but it could work.

    What prices to split test?

How about $50 one time cost, $557 one time cost, and $997 one time cost.

    Go for it.

PS: I found that when I sold my products dirt cheap, it wasn't really worth my time.

    Just my $.02

I remember a product from a couple years ago that included what you are offering and a bit more (including shopping cart platform, store builders, finding aged domains, ranking, etc.) and they originally charged somewhere in the ballpark of $500 for lifetime access. I believe that product has morphed once or twice though, and I have not ever been in the e-commerce site realm, so I didn't keep up to date on these products. I'll PM you the site I'm referring to if you want to compare their features to what you're trying to do.

Right now that site is offering $47/mo. But if its still owned by the original product creators, then I know they often offer an upsell about the 3rd month for lifetime access for a discounted rate compared to the annual monthly rate. (3mo. is when the average person cancels a membership).

    Best wishes on your product!
