how do you sell advertising space securely

i launched a site a few weeks ago. Ive have never sold ad space i would just use the space up for myself using click bank banners and other networks.

how do i sell ad space to someone and make sure they are making their payment. For instance i want to sell space to 20 people. How do i make sure that all 20 are making their payments. Do i do this manually or automatically?

    There are ad networks you can use, like buy/sell ads. There are also plugins and other software. Do some searching.

      I'm talking about direct sales though. I will go up to companies and sell them the ad space. People who aren't registered on sites.

        Hi,

        You could always charge them via paypal subscription model. And use one of the many ad plugins to manage them.. if one client cancels his subscription you just stop their campaign..

    You could try this site: buysellads.com (I'm not an affiliate). They manage advert payments for site owners, and you can also list your site on there to get advertisers.

    I know about them because I bought a monthly advert from one of their providers and they handled the payments. Don't know what percentage they charged the site owner though.
