    Here is the easiest way.

    Just Right Click and click "View Page Source" in Firefox or "View Source" in Internet Explorer

    In the source, just go through the lines between the <head>....</head> tags. You will know which platform they are using and even which theme or template they are using.

    For example, with wordpress there will a code that fetches Javascript that goes like this

     http://example.com/myfolder/wordpres...pletheme/js.js
    You may even take a look at metagenerator tag that goes something like this

    <meta name="generator" content="Joomla! - Open Source Content Management" />

    with joomla they use Templates instead of theme.
