EzineArticles: What kind of content is unacceptable?

Hi everyone!

I've been studying IM for a while and have found my first step to success is to start creating content for my product - I have chosen to write my articles myself as I am going to be working on IM full time having saved some cash from working full time I now can focus on this wholeheartedly

So in regards to writing content for articles, what kind of things are generally unacceptable in regards to content on a topic?

Now I understand the obvious ones, such as blantant marketing and spamming of products etc, but can anyone give me some guidelines to work with as I pump out some content?

Thank you to anyone who can give some advice!

From the submitting I have done to Ezine they will not accept:
    - Spelling mistakes
    - Grammar mistakes
    - Incorrect English

But as said above, it is best to read the rules on their site to get a better idea!

anything that talks about illegal activities, harming yourself or others that kind of thing. Just use common sense and if you are not sure use the ezinearticles search function and see if there are any published articles on the topic you want to write about.

I'd go with the previous replies and take care not to overdo it with keywords to the point that articles read unaturally.

I'd also consider that it benefits you, EZA and other directories if your articles are suitable for republishing on websites and ezines. My rule of thumb for article submission is to ask myself if I would want an article on my site if it wasn't written by myself, if not then I wouldn't place it on somebody elses site.

It really depends on who is looking at the article :-)

I just got an article rejected yesterday for keyword stuffing. The key word that I was stuffing? Traffic.

I was writing an article on traffic generation. How and by supposed to wright an article on driving traffic to your website without using the word traffic?

So, it all depends on who is looking at it and how they view your article. But, to get a good idea of what is acceptable and what is not read their author guidelines.

    Talk soon,

For me it would depend if an article reads naturally and easily. Unnecessary repetitiveness can jar on the reader and we want them to read all the way through to the bio.

I've been working with Ezinearticles for years and i still get articles rejected sometimes, lol.

I've found that they are okay with reviewing a product in an article, that way you can reference it as much as you like. Just make sure you don't come off as too "salesy". Of course it also depends on the luck of the draw, and who is reading over your articles.

it's rule is the strictest of all articles directories, that's why it has so much of Google Love.
Just make sure your first 10 articles meet their guidelines

It depends on who is editing your article at EA.

I know of a few editors that will not allow anything from A-Z.

Then I have seen editors who will accept almost borderline junk.

The things that will typically not get accepted are:

        1) stuffing keywords into the title

        2) adding more than 1 link in the body

        3) salesy tone.

        4) rotten english

Yeah, should always keep that in mind when dealing with ezinearticles. Anyway, thanks Winson for the advice. Though the strict rules make me scary, ezinearticles still a very good site with plenty of useful articles

The kind of content that are unacceptable are contents that are copyrighted already. And also if your article content is based on selling your affiliate products.

With regards spelling mistakes, there are many words that are spelt differently with American English to "proper" English. Favourite v favorite, colour v color etc. Do they accept English English, or does it have to be American English?

I always use correct English spelling and never get rejected for it, you will see articles on there with American English so I guess that both are acceptable
