Shud I remove Buy Now Button ?

I know every one these days are only focusing on making sqeeze pages &

trying to get as many leads as they can but I have never done it with my

business & I am curious now that what If I start gathering my visitors email addresses & then sending them to the sale page ???

Will it help ? I get around 100 unique

visitors per day & makes 1 or 2 sale per day or in good day maybe 4 ! Item which I sell is a download link worth $99 so people usually have many queries before purchasing it.
So shud I make sqeeze page or Shud I remove my Buy Now Button & add an query page instead so that I can get there email address ?

    If your goal is to build a list of your buyers/customers, it's a good option to add a query page to ask for their email addresses and other information you need. Once they supply those pieces of information, direct them to your "order now" (sales page).
    Hello !
    I want to increase my sales thats my main goal ! I just want to know that it is a good idea to ask visitors email addresses before sending them to the sale page ? Don't you think than there be chances of loosing them as they have to go with the long process of checking there inbox & clicking on main link from there ?

      Love this advice. We don't put ourselves in the shoes of our prospective customers enough in general. Who is your prospective customer? Do you have any idea? Maybe you don't have data to model that on, but you can create an idea of your target demo based on what you are selling at least.

      As iPBS mentions, you have to answer that question about what's in it for them.

      Get to know them and you can better relate. It's certainly never been easier to do that then it is today with the wealth of data online.

        If you say you have around 100 unique visitors per day and you're making between 1-4 sales out of them, you're sitting on a mine of gold!

        Think about that: letting the rest of 96-99 visitors just go and don't retaining the emails of your buyers, you waste a valuable resource. People who decide to not buy maybe will want to here more from you and people who decided to buy maybe will want to buy more...

        Having a valuable list is gold. You can later sell them other products or refer affiliate products and, also, building a relationship with them you can size opportunities to create more products for them.

        So, invite them to opt and offer them a gift in exchange.

          Well your post is kind a eye opener for me now I am thinking in past 1 year I have missed so many potential customers & I am still not making full use of my site yet as I have offline job too but still my main source of income is from online ! I think I should start the work now at first by making list all the customers who bought from me in last 1 year & than by adding squeeze page too in my site.

    Actually my website is all about email marketing & I sell "Highly Targeted Opt In Email List"
    As a sample I show my visitors Videos of email list so Now onwards for sample email addresses I will ask there email address but I don't think They will trust me as they may think I will sell there emails too ! Anyways thx I am thinking of adding a query form instead of direct buy now buttons ! Lets see if it helps & Increase my sales

      you can do A/B testing on your sales page

      or you can add and FAQ ( till now i hope you know what kind of common question you have ) then > Still have any question contact query form

      Thanks again my friend for your valued answer I know that very well how building trust can help to gain more business & my next aim will be to make more healthy relations with my potential customer well I always try to keep myself in my customers shoe first ! And I believe that my sale page is quite okay as its been 1 year now & I have not make much changes to it & it's still giving me sales but now i have to build some more leads for my business & will gain some healthy relations with them to gain more sales which I been missing out.

    Yes, Remove the buttion. Get their emails first and build trust in by providing free products and once they are ok then try for paid products.

    hi there .... i would suggest you go for a squeeze page as you want to build a list ... in this way you can sell the these same people more than once ...

    in a better scenario, also build a buyer's list ... these will be your most valuable and you should treat with absolute respect and value.

      Create a capture page, aka squeeze page, and after they click
      the submit button, forward them to your summary page so they
      can get more info and buy it right away if they want to. If they
      don't buy, then you have obtained their email addy to keep in
      touch.

    Collecting email addresses gives you a second and
    third and ... chance to market to them rather than
    a one-shot deal. But your next step is that you need
    a series of emails to send to these subscribers
    to get them to buy afterwards. So you have to
    direct them back to the sales page where you ask
    for the sale.

    You also have to provide an incentive for them
    to optin--such as a free report or some product
    of value that is related to your main product.

      My recommendation: set up a squeeze, build your list there, then after the opt-in you can promote it to them (heck you can do it as soon as they sign up).
