I am customizing the basic-concept WP theme and have a question about how to include an RSS feed so I can start getting my content into iTunes.
I tried Feed Burner but it sucks for iTunes and cannot get it to work with iTunes (keeps telling me I need a title for my Podcast feed when I already do). Help! Mike Hill |

Okay I now have an RSS feed but when I submit to iTunes it's telling me "We require that feeds include a title"
How do I fix this? Mike Hill |

Hi Mike,
Not sure how you're creating your RSS feed, but if it's just generated from Wordpress, you're going to need to either edit it or use a plugin to include the iTunes specific data required in the RSS feed (i.e. the title etc). Whilst you can see a title in the RSS feed, this isn't the title iTunes reads when you submit a feed for inclusion in the iTunes Store. iTunes uses a number of specific RSS fields. Once you've got this sorted, I'd still recommend putting it through Feedburner, and then submitting the Feedburner URL to iTunes, as this'll give you the necessary statistics to see who subscribes / downloads etc. Tim. |

Hi Mike,
It's not something I've done before with Wordpress. I would imagine there's a plugin that will make an RSS feed iTunes compatible (and if there isn't, hey, you've got a great market there!) Tim. |

Mike you can you podPress plugin (just Google it) but if using latest version of WordPress 2.7+ you will have problem with that plugin. There are fixes listed for it here:
podPress and Popularity Contest Andrew Ozz on WordPress It should work after you implement fixes, just like you need it to! |
