I'm looking for a Zynga clone or any open source casino games like poker, roulette and slots.

I'm not looking to start a casino just an online free game site where I can modify the casino games script.

Is it legal to have a site like Zynga in the US when you purchase play credits and tokens for example $19 for 1,000 tokens etc? It wont be a gambling site just an online game site where you use tokens that have no cash value similar to Zynga

Zynga is Website that owns all these FB games. But you can make a great game buy outsourcing it on Freelancer.com but no one's gonna give you Casino Games under $500,000

You can find an online arcade clone for pretty cheap but I haven't personally seen any casino-type ones. Plus with the arcade sites I think most of those people just earn off ads.

Lets start with the most important fact.

Let us say there was an open source casino software. If there was a hack were you going to wait on the open source people to fix it and rely on the fact that sometimes exploits take weeks before they are fixed with open source. Are you going to shut down everything until it is fixed?

Now the realistic part of things.

What you may not realize is the backload involved in a casino style system like Zynga.

Imagine how many free non paying players Zynga has. Then realize that in the beginning nobody is going to try your system without some sort of free gateway in? How many people are you willing support out of your pocket. Then how much traffic are you willing to support in the beginning in the hopes getting paying customers.

Where you going to host this on like a dreamhost unlimited hosting account or a single vps hoping it would work?

Remember Zynga, Pokerist, and others are hosted on clusters upon clusters of servers. They have network engineers specifically for this reason.

This is not a typical undertaking and would require a lot of investment with the right people handling programming knowledge.
