Willie Crawford said this: "Well, a great affiliate marketer first of all puts the needs of his audience or his market first. It is about branding, because branding is what builds that trust and people won't spend money with you unless they trust you.
"But a great affiliate marketer has a business plan first of all so it's not just random acts, but part of an overall plan. A great affiliate marketer has a toolkit of proven tactics and methods that he or she has used that work for them."
"They also put the welfare of their clients and customers first, and they have a long-term view of the business relationship even with the affiliate program managers. A great affiliate marketer makes it a win/win situation. They want to work with the affiliate program manager and make them a success as far as selling more of their products...
"They want to make more money for themselves as the affiliate but they also want to put the interest of their customers first, because if they don't serve the customer, the customer won't survive perhaps in business and be around to be a long-term customer. They look to the life value of the customer."
"A great affiliate marketer is also VERY, VERY picky about the products that he or she promotes. They realize the importance of protecting their reputation, which online is probably the most important asset that you have. Most of you are NOT PICKY at all and promote every new thing that comes out, and even though I'm still subscribed, I ignore about 90% of you now. When we (buyers) have 3-10 marketers promoting the same and several NEW, untested, untried, products weekly and even daily from some of you, HOW MUCH TRUST DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE WITH YOUR SUBSCRIBERS?
