When you send out a newsletter to your list how do you structure them and what are the type of things that you include in them?

Thanks

Um I don't have any subscribers yet. I am just about to launch a website and am starting to plan my newsletters. Ultimatley I would like to keep people informed about my company and sell them more products!

      Thanks

It sounds like you have some great ideas for your newsletter. Just make sure you're following the number one rule of newsletters. Be VALUABLE. Don't just say "I have a company, so you should buy from me". Tell people about the benefits of your products, your activity in the community and the world, and what have you.

I structure my newsletters pretty basically, with just the first two or three paragraphs of the article, then a link that says something like "click here to finish reading the article". Add a good PS and you're on your way.

Matt - I agree. If you can answer two or three basic questions i.e. "How can I get started with..?" or "What is..?" you're on your way.

COMPLETELY AGREE! Everyone wants to know "What's in it for me?" Sell them on that and you'll build a loyal list.

Direct response marketing teaches "The deal is everything". This means you must make your offer the most powerful you can and everything else should be built around it. Once you have decided what your offer is you can create credibility, create trust and close the sale. The best way to approach your writing to determine what your offer will be.
