How to Get Webinar Attendees

Hi,

I'm having a friend teach an online class.
We have been using Facebook to generate registrations for our lead in sample class.

I've been going back and forth between sending people directly to the webinar registration page or a landing page that leads to an email and then sending the registration page in an email.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. This is my first attempt at internet based business. Rather than using the internet for an offline business.

Could you provide a little more information on your audience? Are you targeting a specific group? Are you trying to reach people in your state, the united states, or all across the globe?

Try posting an ad on Craigslist in the services offered section. Try not to make it look to much like spam but instead like a genuine offer of value.

You could try solo ads depending on the niche.

If you are selling something at the end of it you could approach other marketers to promote it and offer them a share of the sales that result.

I agree with sanhal here - build up a nice email list. Buy a few solo ads. I do webinars at my full time job and we get really good traffic simply by having a laser targeted and highly interested email list for our audience. Some good tantalizing details to force them to tune in and build some hype is also really recommended.

Don't you have a blog to support your activity? Depending on your target audience, with the right keywords and Google search engines you could gather more people for your webinar.

As some have suggested, I'd recommend giving solo ads a go. You'll be able to test conversions for your offer, and for those that do sign-up you'll have targeted leads. If you do consider Solo Ads, ask the seller how well Webinars have converted for their list before because not everyone's list will react the same.

    All the best

I have a similar business plan. I use a squeeze page to get the name first, then I give them the information for the webinar.

Most of the traffic I generate from Youtube and Slideshare.

Generating traffic from youtube is an awesome idea, how do you get people from youtube to to your squeeze page? Do you create a demo of what you're sales page say or what exactly?

Promote it using Solo Ads. Through solo ads, you'll be able to see the conversion and opt-in rate of your offer. When people opted-in, you can target those and invite them. But of course, that depends on your budget. Hope that helps.

Give it a try. So far, i think its one of the best way.
