Can't Change My Permalink To Custom Structure!

I just tried changing my permalink to a Custom Structure to this /%postname%/
& checked the box next to it & it keeps going back to /sample-post/

Is it suppose to do this shouldn't the box that says Custom Structure stay
checked instead of Post name.

    Hi meaker seeker,

Could it be something as simple as not ALSO clicking the 'Save changes' button down at the bottom left of that page?

    Warmest regards,

If you want to stack the copywriting deck in your favor with tricks and hacks producing winners like: "$20K in three days" "650 sold" "30% conversion", then you might like to know I'm retiring and will spill the beans to two people. More info here.

That is just a quirk in the way WordPress displays it.

It should be working as you want it to.

        My dashboard says

        unselected below

        permalinks are working as intended.

Fastest way is to look and see if it works

...Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just set there.

This is the easiest and appropriate way.

Should I remove /%postname%/ altogether & just check the box
that says Post name & let wordpress do it would that be the best
            way to do this.
