What is up with these quirky 'high-horse' sitting article sites and their bizarre rules?

I just got 2 articles kicked back because they "forbid" the use of the word "FDA", as in Federal Drug Administration. Seriously? What other way would there be to say it? I mean, you can't even quote an FDA source then, because you can't name the source! jeez oh pete!

ok...that's just one example of many but I thought I'd share.

    Yes, it can be somewhat frustrating. I find that it is best to just make the changes that they want and resubmit. The problem is that it just depends on which editor you have if you are using EZA so sometimes articles get through and others don't.
