What are some Creative & Most Effective ways to Monetize Website Traffic & Email Lists?
OK, in an effort to help the Warriors on the forum, I am starting this thread about ways to make money when you have developed an email list - large or small - and/or a website with a fair amount of traffic - a few thousand hits a month or more.
For you experienced Warriors, please take a minute and post some of your best, or most creative ways to make money with your traffic or email lists. Maybe explain a little how you do it too.
With any luck, and with the help of other experienced Warriors, this thread can help people get some ideas to make more money, and to help any newbies start making money, or more money with their sites or email lists.
Here are just a couple of the ideas I use:
Website Monetization
If you have a good amount of traffic - more is better - you can create a part of the site that offeres premium content for a small price. The key is having enough traffic and offering great FREE content first. If you offer enough value for free, your visitors will be more willing to pay for your premium content. If you charge a subscription fee, you need to provide fresh and valuable content weekly/monthly to keep your subscribers engaged and active.
I would stress that the better your content is, the easier it is to monetize your site traffic. Give visitors what they want/need, and they will return the favor.
Email Marketing
You have heard that the money is in the list. That is absolutely true. When I work with my lists, I prefer not to over email them or over sell them. Building a relationship with your list by providing valuable advice, content, and free stuff will make your sales letter sell like crazy. Because of that, you don't need to send sales copy every other email. If you send sales email too often, I believe you will dilute the effectiveness of your sales letters because your list will get tired of being sold to.
