Numbers behind a $1 million launch
I hope this topic generates good discussion.
Let's use a $100 product for math reasons.
$100 per sale x 10,000 units = $1 million
But how do you get 10,000 units sold?
Let's say you have 5% conversion rate. That means you need to 200,000 people to visit your pitch page.
How do you get 200,000 visitors?
Well, maybe you have a 10% open rate on emails (mix of super affiliates and new affiliates).
That means you need 2,000,000 subscribers to receive your invitation to visit the pitch page.
One super affiliate can get you a good amount of those subscribers, and several of them can probably get you all of them.
But, without connections or thousands of dollars offered as incentives on an affiliate page, you are not likely to get super-affiliates. That means you need many, many, many affiliates.
Let's say the average list is 1,000 subscribers.
That means you need 2,000 affiliates, and there is no way you are going to get that without a good amount of lead time, a decent affiliate offer, and a traffic strategy to attract that many affiliates.
What's the take away from this: the 7 figure group is limited to those with existing relationships with super-affiliates or enough money to put up for awesome incentives.
Please comment on this, as I am sure it will help many people trying to understand all of this.
