What are my domains worth, looking for evaluation tool or service

Hello,

How do i find out the value of my domains I bought many years ago. They are all .co.za

If anyone knows of any domain evaluation tools for .co.za domains, please let me know.

Domain evaluation tools (for any extension) can't possibly even "guesstimate" what any domain-name is worth.

They're worth what you can sell them for. Not even "what the market decides they're worth", but literally what you can sell them for: usually the major factor determining their cash value is their vendors' skills at identifying, approaching and notifying potentially interested parties of their availability. It doesn't make much difference where/how you sell them, if the people to whom they may have artificial value (i.e. value above and beyond their reg-fees) are unaware of that.

I buy and sell quite a lot of domain-names but have never had a South African one - sorry. Good luck with them, but I think you'd be well advised to set out with the perspective that their "value" isn't objective or fixed in any way, and has nothing at all to do with what anyone's software imagines they're worth: it's going to depend on you and your skill-set.

      1. Estibot.com
      2. Valuate.com
      3. Sedo.com - Sign up for an account, Under My Account, Add your domain to find the suggested price for your domain.
      4. adwords.google.com/o/KeywordTool -> Enter your Keywords in the domain to get Exact Search Number. If your keywords has more than 50k searches per month, you could probably sell it off for $500+

      Good luck!

        Madh2h,

Have you ever tried these valuation services?

Lexy is right - domains are worth exactly what someone will spend to buy them.

I noticed that wonderful dot info domain with 135,000 monthlys being advertised in your sig has 1 bid at 1 dollar.

The market drives the domain economy and valuation services in many cases don't factor it in to their appraisals.

Tools are useless. Most websites are sold for multiples of their monthly/annual earnings... Unless the domains are brandable or desirable then it's just a matter of who's willing to pay what.

Tools are not accurate -I have an deleted domain with a lot of links but no unique content that his value according to some tool is over 400$, and a site with over 30 original, quality articles that value (according to this site) less than 100$

One of the best ways to get a feel for what your domain may be worth is to do a "comp". Use a site like DN Sale Price- Domain Name Sales Price and History to compare your domain with other similar domains that have sold in the past. There is no such thing as an accurate domain appraisal. The main factor is your ability to find that one buyer who is like a needle in a haystack.

There isn't a set way to determine the value of your domain portfolio. In all honesty, your portfolio is worth as much as what an end-user is willing to pay for it.
