Dear Warriors, first of all a general hello and thank your for this great forum. I started with Ebay/Amazon affiliate marketing in late January with a blog about flash drives (see link below). In February my commissions were $0,40, March $2.00 and for April $15. I know, not much yet but at least I can see a trend. My goal is to make ~$1500 by the end of this year. Since Im still trying to get a grip on how realistic this is and where I need to focus my efforts (content, SEO, promotion, creating more websites? etc) I would like to ask if you all could relay some information from your experience. Im especially interested to hear from those who do affiliate marketing since thats what I chose for myself. Bascially I want to know the following things: 1.What is your average monthly income (inserted screenshots of the past few months would be great)? 2.How many sites does this include? What is the age of your sites(s)? 3.What product? (Be specific if you can, but general market would be ok too. Or maybe you're up for sharing your website link?) 4.What affiliate program (amazon, ebay, CJ etc) or whatever else are you using for that income? 5.Whats your monthly clickrate and EPC? (Again screenshots would be awesome) So let me start with my screenshot from April. img7.imageshack.us/img7/430/aprily.jpg (Im not able to insert images or links yet) If I can get a good overview by Monday morning already I would greatly appreciate it. If there's already a thread like this I apologize - please direct me then! Thanks all, DT |

Hey DT, Welcome to the forum. There are other discussions of this very topic. Try using the "search function" to find 100's of post about affiliate marketing. I can appreciate you wanting encouragement about "how much money" can be made in affiliate marketing, but in my opinion it's somewhat in bad taste to ask folks here to put up proof of their income. However you might get a few that will put it up for you. Ken The Old Geezer |

I think you're on the right track. Now if those humping dog flash drives pictures were animations I might buy one!

On the other hand, what good would that be anyhow? You are probably better off to concentrate on your own strategies and results, while learning tactics here - its not hard to figure what people are doing - and if they are doing it for a long time, you can just go ahead and assume its profitable.

Ok, thanks for the replies but I'm a little disappointed at the reception. I know my first post might have been a little direct but I honestly thought people around here were very open, even to newbies. After all, I opened up myself, didnt I? To me that's just natural but it's not like writing this post was easy for me. It's just I'm really interested and want to know from "the experienced" what a realistic affiliate income is in relation to number of sites, clicks etc. I was actually hoping for something like this: My Record Income Day - $295.20: jtpratt.com*my-record-income-day-29520/ (replace the * with /) This is the only detailed post on a reported affiliate income I found to my satisfaction. I understand that I can't expect the same here, after all JT appears to be exceptional in terms of honesty and openness. But like I said it doesn't need to be a screenshot or anything, just giving short cut answers would be fine too. Is that really stepping on anybody's toes or does it take too much time away? Or is this something that is only "brutally" discussed in the war room? I can't afford signing up there for now. Also, at first I did do a search for "monthly earnings", "monthy income" etc but the threads that came up were mostly advertising like "make such and such income in a month", "instant money with xyz" etc. That's not the information I'm looking for. Besides, the factor "recent" is important to me since things can and do change in the affiliate world, don't they? In other words, somebody who made 2000 a month last year may do only 1000 this year, or 3000 for that matter. I was over at the EPN discussion board and several affiliates were complaining that in the past few months performance was pretty bad but I dont know if I can take those posts as representative. After all, does someone post when things are going good? So, I hope this explains some of my motivations better and that this will not be held against me. If I came or come across audacious I apologize but it's definitely not my intention. Again, if you know of good threads that lists average incomes from fairly recent I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks all, DT p.s.: @Ryan700 Funny you say that, I have been thinking about posting a vid of the humping dogs in action but I figured people would tend not to click through anymore since their curiosity would already be satisfied then. ps 2: I just checked my EPN dashboard and for some reason my 180 clicks on Saturday went up to 900 today!? If this isn't a reporting error I can only think of people from here checking out my blog and going on a clicking spree but that seems unlikely too. Especially since my post got buried pretty quick. Odd! Oh wait, I think this might have been caused by a new plugin I installed, it's called broken link checker. Oops, I better take it off again since I heard Ebay doesn't like clicks from the site owner. Although I'm not sure how these plugin clicks would register with Ebay...does anyone know? It's really a useful tool and I would love to keep it. |

Nobody is going to write on a public forum how much they make. but let me give you some free advise with regards to your $ method. your site looks good and you make a few bucks a month from that. so you know how to make money. the next step is to scale. Can you put up 3 sites like this a day? - thats 90 sites a month. if not, then find out how. thats how you make the big bucks with the path you are taking. can you stomach it? better than a day job. |

I can't see why anyone would do this... seriously, why would anyone want to lay out their entire business in front of thousands of hungry competitors and newbies? It seems to me that it would be a very wreckless thing to do in this scenerio. The fact that you want screen shots to prove earnings just demonstrates what appears to be your intent to compete directly with those who show something that sparks your interest. Also - keep this in mind. There's people who make a killing in the same niches that others struggle with. I know there's affiliates cleaning up in the weightloss niche, but I have been unable to crack it myself. The same with the investing niche. These are 2 niches I actually have a lot of knowledge/expertise in (too the point I have rough draft manuscripts sitting around for physical books I was working on in the past in both of these markets). |

I do have a video resume that shows future potential jv partners all the sites I have ranked top 3 in google, my affiliate earnings conversion and list size, but as far as using it for anything else like a sales page I doubt I ever will |

1.What is your average monthly income (inserted screenshots of the past few months would be great)? Like others, I will pass on this one. 2.How many sites does this include? What is the age of your sites(s)? I have over 80 sites, the oldest is 2002. 3.What product? (Be specific if you can, but general market would be ok too. Or maybe you're up for sharing your website link?) Started off all financial, but have marketed diet, WAH, and many other things since I got the pattern down. 4.What affiliate program (amazon, ebay, CJ etc) or whatever else are you using for that income? CJ since the beginning, and many others like COPEAC, Quinstreet, Maxbounty, Rextopia, T3Leads, and etc. 5.Whats your monthly clickrate and EPC? (Again screenshots would be awesome) Click Through rate and epc varies greatly. It all depends on the product. |

@Kay King - I can only speak for myself but seeing screenshots or just hearing testimony of great incomes motivates me. The stronger the proof the more I KNOW that the stuff works and is worth getting into (Once bitten, twice shy). Also, seeing actual figures helps me boost my own visualization. It kinda gets the nagging subconscious voice out of my head that tends to say "Don't be ridiculous!". @scotl47 - Thanks for the info! @Virtual Banker - I would still like to know if you based your statement on personal experience. |

What John Doe makes or doesn't make has absolutely no bearing on what you will make. So the question is essentially pointless as are any answers. What you will earn will depend entirely on what you do and not on what somebody else has done. That's why I could care less what other people here make. Doesn't do one thing for me. |

If it's an inspirational thing, that i can understand..and can understand why others would choose not to participate. Didn't we have this same discussion many months back? And it came down to social norms in other countries or something to that effect? |

![]() 2. Right now, I'm working with about a dozen sites of my own. I'd have to check how many total. The oldest was registered in 1996. 3. Here's where I believe you stirred people up. By asking people to post their successful specific products and even site links on an open forum with over 100,000 members, you're asking them to pretty much throw away the work they've done to get the success. Even if you had benign intentions, there are a lot of people for whom pirating someone else's stuff is a valid business model (at least in their minds). 4. Mostly Amazon, with a few private arrangements thrown in. I also have sites that earn their keep with PPC ads. No, I won't share the links. Why? > As I mentioned above, there are unscrupulous people who would love to copy everything and compete directly. Hacking to ride my coattails is another possibility (which has happened to me). > A bunch of visitors coming from a post on an unrelated forum would screw up tests I'm running. 5. As another poster stated, CTR and EPC vary tremendously. Any screen shot would be inaccurate and misleading. I could show you crappy EPC to discourage you, I could cherry pick and show you only the best stretches to make myself look better, or I could fudge something just to put up a screen shot. As I mentioned above, there are over 100,000 members here, and Google spiders this forum a lot. Any answer posted in this thread would be open to the world within minutes. That's the big reason you don't get open answers like you might in a personal venue, or even a controlled environment like the War Room. It's not personal.

This guy's questions remind me of a poker chat room. Players say anything (usually rude) in that venue and rancid language is common, but at a real live table - you mostly get the utmost respect, virtually no name calling, and I have never seen an all-out argument where people interact. I wonder if OPer would dare ask these questions face-to-face at a business meeting or convention - just because he was looking for a little inspiration. |

marketers rarely tell you how much money they make.....I for one also am very motivated by internet marketers sharing their story and becoming mentors to help the average marketer out......I mean think about it.......If an internet marketer is so successful why wouldn't they want to leverage what they know and sell it. What drives me nuts are the "I made $7237.66 cents while I slept last night.....YOU CAN DO THE SAME!!!!" click here nonsense................It reminds me of scammer.....car salesman...... You can play the numbers game.....buy 100 websites for $20 each =$2000 Revenue from those sites maybe around $10-20 per site per month..... I've researched many marketers methods and can tell you that buying and selling websites is a very profitable business.....keep the good ones profit from the bad ones....flipping...........not my cup of tea though |

How much I make a day would not be the same for you even if you followed my blueprint to a tee. As a list builder my daily income is directly related to the relationship I have with my list . My income from review sites depends on the quality and quantity of the traffic that day . I will tell you that from the way a lot of the marketers talk on here , I pay aweber more a month than a lot of people make . |

Instead of using ebay and amazon you should try your luck with places like clickbank,click2sell, and paydotcom. I also use adsense how ever my main money maker right now is pyrabang it converts extremely easy you can find one of my pages to pyrabang in my sig. Watch the video me and my partner made on my page. I personally there have a conversion of 41% if you think of any affiliate program out there that is simply amazing. They also keep making it easier and easier to get people to upgrade. I have just learned of a new membership level their that is going to be around 30 a month which I have that covered with my own commissions by far so I will be upgrading to that aswell as soon as it takes effect.
