Amazon Affiliate Links --- To Amazon or to Astore

Hello,

I have a client who is starting to make a few bucks with Amazon affiliates. He has linked most content to a standalone "astore" (an amazon "store") but has a few older links directly to Amazon products.

Both link types have pretty good conversion rates, but it's a very small sample, so it's hard to tell definitively at this point. Most traffic comes from inbound links at this point as the site is still new.

My question is this: which is the better option for most people? Astore or Amazon? Are there any tips or tricks you'd be willing to pass along as to how to link --- what the verbiage should look like and so forth.

Thanks!

lol, so is this your way of saying that I should link to the product on Amazon instead?

I'm personally not a fan of "stores" when it comes to promoting stuff as an affiliate. I think it's better to write reviews and link to specific stuff. Amazon stuff tends to have a higher conversion rate than digital stuff because it's trusted. I shop there all the time without a second thought and love it.

Nine times out of 10, I know what I want and buy it. On the rare occasion that I don't, I just look at a few similar items (like 3 to 5) and pick one (based on the customer comments, rankings and stuff like that). Amazon is already addicting, and I think that an entire store can be too much, ya know?
