Use those "Magic Words" - And sell more..

If you are selling clickbank products, you'll notice that each and any Clickbank product has a 60 days return policy.

You can use this to your advantage.

What i do: I often design banners for a specific clickbank product because 99% of the EXISTING promo material from vendors is *usually* very bad.

In your banners (or sales copy/site) you can use phrases like

EXAMPLE:

"Cure your XYZ or your Money Back, Guaranteed:
Try my Proven and all Natural XYZ solution, 100% Risk free!"

Notice how i use "power words" like "Guaranteed" and "TRY" and, very important, "100% Risk Free". This is very powerful stuff since we can *indeed* offer such a guarantee with the 60 days "no question asked money back guarantee"..and this applies for any clickbank product.

Emphasize this and convince the purchaser there is no risk in buying, make it sound like he can indeed try product X without any risk.

Add: And since you're already at it (making banners or writing copy) also don't forget the "Click here!" part

Great Idea George. I see so many crappy banners/ads, seems like few people put much thought into them, almost like it's something they "have" to do. Few have much call to action if any.

Here, others powerful words that you can use in your banners (or sales copy/site): New, Save, Results, Health, Easy, Safety, Love, Proven, Guarantee, Discovery.

You can make them yourself in photoshop or a similar program, the sizes (pixel width and height) are fairly universal. I've read that alot of internet users dont like the rapidly animated one...at least those flashing epileptic seizure inducing ones.

i actually use a program called "the logo creator"..and PaintShop (PhotoShop).

    A typical example

However, the method applies to ANY clickbank product - not only banner wording, but copy in general. Yes, "Guarantee" is an extremely powerful word.

The Guarantee is one of the most important elements of a sales letter - along with everything else right enough - but you should definitely try and go all out guarantee and spend plenty of time on it.

Your Guarantee also gives you the opportunity to set yourself apart from the competition ("...I'll give you DOUBLE your money back... I'll eat my own hat... etc). Get creative and see how you can stand out.

Example: Everyone knows Dominoes guarantee, right? (The one they used before their delivery drivers started killing people)

Any risk of 100 people purchasing your product, and 90 of them Not curing XYZ, so you will get 90 refunds?

ie, your generous offer hurting your sales, as people get refunds if it didnt work, or other sneaky people getting refunds- just to keep the product for free....?

It seems that far too much emphasis is being placed on 'Harry Potter words' and not enough on the product itself.
I don't know what it is like in the rest of the world but here, in Spain, consumers know that there is a statutory two years guarantee on all non consumable goods - 730 days NOT 60!
Since the IVA, VAT, MVS and other sales taxes are now accepted as a standard part of online sales into Europe, look for this guarantee to be imposed.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.

True, Art, but, strictly speaking, if you use Clickbank, you're selling to them, and THEY sell the product to "your" customer.

And, when you sign up with Clickbank, you agree to be bound by their return policy and are specifically prohibited from making any kind of guarantee that conflicts with that.

For both of those reasons, I guarantee () that an attempt to impose any other policy, even if done through the legal system (of any country), would fail.

      Tommy.

I have the same question. What are the chances of people reading the material and asking for a refund..? Does this open the flood gates to refunds?

my experience has been hit or miss... I've had 3 total refunds on my new product so far.

1 of them took almost 2 days to ask for it (probably legitimately unsatisfied)
1 took a whopping 2 minutes to request a refund (obviously just wanted the product for free)
1 asked for it just after my 30 day refund period ended but I gave it to them anyway because I'm a softy.

Not if your product is good.

There are always people who will want a refund regardless. The world isn't full of perfect people unfortunately. But it's been proven many a time your net profit will rise significantly using a guarantee.

Yeah, I have seen this case many times. You will find people all over who get the results or the product or service but still will ask for the refund. I guess you would have strong stretegey for them too.

You're not actually offering anything - you're merely making a banner ad that emphasizes the guarantee already offered by Clickbank - much as you would emphasize any other selling point of the product.

You are absolutely right Thomas - but weren't they damned quick to start imposing VAT, IVA, MVS and so on? I wonder who audits their books and how they managed to become a tax collector in a country in which they have no representation.
