Can you make good money on Fiverr?

I'm wondering, can someone in North America actually make good money on Fiverr? I'm thinking about experimenting with it, but don't want to do things that will require an hour of my time to only make $4 or $8. Is it possible to do some gigs that you can make $12+/hour from... meaning if you got 4 sales for your gig, it'd only take you an hour to complete them?

Any advice on types of gigs for a newbie to start with?

Just experiment and see, yes you can make money, yes there are people making tons of money from fiverr and yes it is a good way to get your name out there. Is it going to earn you millions, more then likely not but can you make a living, sure. It's all the addons which make you the money, not just the 5$ gig.

Very quick Gigs include reselling an ebook, a video course, or anything that you have the right to resell at any price. Check products websites with Resell Rights. The Second thing that come to my mind is voice-over service in which you can record 100 words of a script and sell it, though you will need the equipment for that.

i guess it depends how much you can automate your work. i have had an interview about that on my site, maybe you are interested. it is from eugenio, a guy here from the warrior forum who also offers fiverr gigs and makes a living :-)

how can you make "good" money when they never go beyond $5?
there are lot more good options other than fiverr.

I had quite a few sales of $65 and $75, so you can make more than $5 on a single sale.

I agree.. The level 2 extras are great. I made $110 from one buyer the other day. Now that I understand how to leverage it properly, I am loving Fiverr.

Living For Monday looks like an interesting blog. I'll be reading through that today!

I made in one month $1500 from Fiverr on the side of my day job. Didn't get enough sleep though. I'd say I was averaging about $18 per hour.

There are gigs with 5000 reviews, times $4 that's $20000. And that's only assuming you make $4 on a sale, which is not the case. And also only a third of people would post a review so you can assume he made at least double that amount.

I experimented with It In the past, and It was pretty good. Nothing I would want to do full time, but for some quick cash sure. Made I think around $300 the first day, and $130-$200 a day for a couple weeks after that.

Became too much work, and I really only used It to start up some projects that needed extra funding. Quick tip, hire a few attractive looking girls to do multiple gigs for you on there and manage them (If you know them In real life, even better), ranging from videos to fan pictures, those always did good for me

Can anyone give me so good ideas for a Fiverr gig that would not take much work setting up and delivering the product? Thanks.

An ebook or video tutorial would be a good way to go.

My brother writes very high quality music reviews. Yesterday, he did over $70 in sales, primarily from having a very effective gig to gig extra offering.

It took him about a year to get to that point. It's definitely possible, but the most tedious and frustrating part, like most things IM, is usually the beginning.

(I'll assume you're not interested in the Fiverr arbitrage method that multiple people feel the need to claim as their own method, with a price tag attached. This method is simply buying low on Fiverr and selling high elsewhere.)

The idea is to progress to gig extras and gig multiples, which get unlocked when you're a level 1 seller.

      See Fiverr's Levels.

Before you're a level 1 seller, I believe you're allowed to implement a makeshift version of gig extras and gig multiples by asking people to order multiple gigs. This quickly becomes tedious for certain requirements, so increasing your level really helps.

Given that a bare gig gives you $4 ($5 minus $1 fee), it's important not to offer gigs in which you're working too hard for that $4.

Some gig plans that appeal to me:

      * Buying high on a product/service elsewhere and selling low on Fiverr in volume. (On the contrary, I haven't seen any success stories involving buying low elsewhere and selling high on Fiverr. But I guess you've gotta admire the entrepreneurial spirit of those offering $0.99 PLR e-books on Fiverr.)
      * Batch processing and parallelization. Sometimes a gig that's not worth it for a single order is feasible if it allows you to accumulate a batch of orders and execute those orders in parallel.

Sounds interesting - do you have any kind of example of those type of gigs?

Some examples (of the concept, not necessarily of recommended gigs!):

Posting fliers at a number of set locations -- can be much more efficient when you batch orders together.

Having to travel 30 mins to some landmark to take pics for a brand -- painful if done an order at a time but feasible when you batch orders together, travel once, and take the pics together

Using a third-party membership service for backlink blasts that limits you to one run a day -- rather than make $4 for the day, maybe the blasts can contain the backlinks for multiple orders, yielding more than $4 for the day. A lot of those backlinks are going to end up on the same pages anyway.

Dressing up in elaborate costumes for vids -- if you could dress up the one time and do a dozen vids together in the hour, that could be worth it for someone starting out.

You can make good money with fiverr. One of my friend used to sell Youtube Views and got many big clients from fiverr.

Its not about focusing on that $4/sale , its more about building a relationship with your buyers and getting bigger orders.

Yea, it is possible to make good money depending on the services you are offering. It is not in the $4 that you earn per gig but in the extras as well as the positive reviews that you get.

When you have positive reviews based on satisfied clients, you will graduLLY be building an empire for yourself.

Concentrate more on satisfying the customers, you get positive reviews which translates to high ratings = more gigs = more cash

You can make some decent money off Fiverr but you wan't make a full time living. Most services require you put in a decent amount of time and effort to make money on Fiverr, but some people sell things like eBooks which only take a minute or so to send. Experiment with it and see how it goes!

Fiverr is a good way to start off making money online.
I'm making consistent amount of money designing ebook covers.
$200 per month is pretty good for me considering I only spent 15 minutes per design.

But the bad thing about Fiverr is someday you get loads of sale, someday you get none.
It is not a stable income for me.

I made a few sales tweeting out peoples links to my Twitter followers.
It can work well, but I think you need some unique service to make serious money.

    Yes of course .
As long as whatever gig that you offer only takes a few minutes to complete or you can outsource it and have enough room for a profit . But heck ya you can make some great money with fiverr as long as you automate the process just like anything else online.

This all-in-one marketing platform saves me over $7,000 per year. See how:

Be prepared to work your ass up and get ready to put up some random gigs.

Not a bad idea to start if you have an resources to make your own site.

Whatever you decide to do, you main goal should be to translate what you do on fiverr to your own site.
