Question About 2nd Tier Commissions on JVZoo / WPlus and (Why Not) ClickBank.

Hi Guys,

Suppose that i have an offer with 2 combinations:

- Main Offer
- Oto
- Oto Downsell.

...and i've created a JV contract (for the 3 offers) for a partner so he gets a % from sales made by the affiliates that he refers.

Question: Can he send the link for the main offer (instead of all the links) and get credit for the full sales funnel (sales made by his referred affiliates on the different products)....or does he have to send all the links to the affiliates?

I'd like to know this for JVZoo but if you had experience with another network (WarriorPlus, ClickBank etc), it may also help for the thread.

Another Question: Is there a way to automatically manage affiliate contests with W+? (any plugin to automatically post on a page the real time stats?).

Best Regards,

Diego.

    Update: Reply from JVZoo..

"Right now, the JV Contracts are not set up to sign up funnel-wide. So the JV Partner will want to send out their link for each product individually in order to have affiliates sign up under them and still get credit."

JV Partner has to send all the links (complete Sales Funnel) to affiliates.

Does someone know if this is the same with WarriorPlus or ClickBank?

    Thanks.

It works differently on ClickBank, through an "affiliate referral payment", with which vendors can effectively pay a proportion of their cut (i.e. after the normal affiliate/vendor division, net of ClickBank deductions) to a "referring affiliate".

Anything involving PayPal payments requires great care and caution, when dealing with "second tiers" because PayPal has very different ideas about what constitutes "MLM" from many other organizations, and their terms of service require careful interpretation.

(I don't know the details for WarriorPlus, and don't do business with them, myself).

Thanks Alexa. Interesting point on the PayPal cautions (risk is always there when you start splitting payments to different people - i think that the more you split, the higher the risk is).

Thanks also for the CB pointer. I was aware on the way it works, just don't know if the JV partner automatically gets credit for the whole sales funnel or just the FE sales that his referred affiliates make.

    Diego.

The JV partner gets a share of all commissions in the vendor's account.

Therefore if the Oto products are in the same account as the main offer (which would be necessary to earn affiliates the extra commission) then the JV partner gets credit for the full sales funnel.

    Thanks Harvey,

    Fantastic Clarification.

If there's someone who can post about the way this works in W+ (if JV partners can automatically get a % for the whole sales funnel - this is for sales referred by their affiliates), it would be also interesting.

And something i still can't figure out...any way to automatically display W+ contests on a site? (real time sales, refunds...).

    Thanks.
