Hi All,

I have site on beauty niche, over two years old and PR1.

The site used to have about 2000 unique organic visits but suddenly dropped to 200 p/m.

However since last 5 months its making $40 to $50 a month with those small visitors.

Its been 6 months I haven't published any article due to busy schedule but it does have over 100 articles published there.

I want to sell this site now. But dont know how much should I set the buy now price, as never done this before.

Can some one please advise how much should it be worth?

and is Flippa the best site to put for sale?

Many Thanks
Sohail

Flippa is the biggest marketplace on internet, you can also try here on WF to sell it.So you make 40-50$ per month, and you have proof of income for the last 5-6 months no?
Anywhere from 400$ would be a good price. Hope this helps

      Thanks Will!

I have a proof, perhaps these will be snapshots from clickbank and markethealth?

As a rule of thumb, you can take earnings per month and multiply by 12 to get a typical site target value for Flippa.

For Flippa sales you should give honest and complete stats and sales proof as you've suggested for at least a six month time period analyzed monthly.

I'd never sell a website for just 12x monthly income and I get suspicious of sellers who sell for just one year's income.

Minimun 24x monthly income but more like 30x monthly income.

But this is for sites that are very consistent regarding revenue and organic traffic.

Also, screenshots are never proof of anything.

I take it as you personal opinion but not in general, I have seen plenty of sites being sold on good averaged price.

making $4 a day (in today's sold listing) went for $2300. Sites is 1 year old only.

What would you say on this?

as said if you have got history of revenue you can get 10/12 of the monthly revenue like it things thou it comes down to what people are willing to pay for it at the time.

Typically you should check average income from site for last 6 months and multiple it with 10 to come up with your selling price.

So if if last 6 months your average income from the site is $100 permonth, you should sell your site for $800-$1000

I haven't actually sold any of my sites yet. But from what I hear, people usually sell them at 24 X Monthly income.

  • It depends on how your making the $40-50/month and how many months of income proof you have... Traffic stats and real potential for the future makes a big difference as well. If you can show your website has potential for the future then you can sell it for a lot.

    $700 minimum...

If your site is making $40-50 per month for the last 5-6 months then you can try selling it for $400-500 . Generally you can get 10 to 12 times the monthly revenue generated by the site.

    2x the yearly income.... so 40 x 12 = 480 x 2 = $860

If your site is doing money and it has good possibilities with a view to the future, does not bandage, look for someone in order that one supports it paying to him rather per cent and this way it will have a sure value.

Thank you all for the feed back and time.

Ancor, there is definitely endless possibilities for future with my site, a) its a beauty niche [evergreen] b) domain name is .net, today I checked godaddy and same name with .com was for sale $800 bit of potential there as well.

I will put the listing on Flippa soon and will see how it goes.

I will also try to let you guys know as well how it goes.

    Cheers All.

You can't really trust anymore because there are lots of people who wants to cheat on you in terms of the price. Moreover, I believe people will not give a damn about how old a website is, people will tend to choose those sites that has traffic and regular income. So maybe improve that more a bit before selling it?
