How Do You Target Your Market?

SEO has changed. Big time.

I use keywords but focus more on key phrases these days.

Google digs a different kind of search.

I also have doubled down by hanging on niche specific forums.

By engaging on relevant forums, Facebook Groups and Google Plus Communities I can more easily target my market.

Creating great content is a must too.

I have have already done SEO and have moved onto forum posting (related to my niche) and social media, mainly twitter. These two seem to be the best tools these days.

Hope it helped in some way!

I just answer a few questions.
    • Exactly who IS my target market?
    • What do they want?
    • Where do they hang out?
    • What's the best way to reach them there?

Once I've answered that last question, I just do whatever is in the answer.

It might be participating in forums.

It might be creating share-worthy prime content on my own site/blog.

It might be finding ways to reach other peoples' audiences (like commenting, guest blogging and syndication).

    It might be paid ads.

I watch what works and do more of that. I watch what doesn't work and either tweak it and try again or quit doing it.

It's not rocket surgery or brain science, but it does require patience and paying attention...

The important thing to know is exactly what it is you can offer - if you don't know that how will you know who wants it?

That's starting with a product and looking for a market.

      Try flipping it around...

If you don't know what people want, how will you know if you can offer them anything?
