Where in your plan is getting traffic? I have been taught traffic + conversions = sales. What I am saying traffic doesn't make sales but without traffic..... sales are no where to be found. There is free traffic and paid traffic. Free traffic just costs time so it's not really free.

You need to start with content marketing. Pay for 10-15 really great articles related to what you're selling. Make sure the content is superb. Ensure that you have a web design that is attractive with easy navigation.

Get a social media presence. Create a Facebook page for your website. Include a link to the website in the About section. Advertise on Facebook to get likes for your page.

Once you start getting search traffic, you can sell anything. Social is the new SEO. Start with development of a great traffic-generating system.

This is great advice, without a plan to generate traffic, you're just going to have "another" website. develop your traffic plan and see it through.

It sounds like you've got it all figured out.

Seriously, I'm about to ask people on here for help as well but I think I'll take a different approach. As far as your plan goes you didn't give anything to really comment on. That looks like the outline of any successful online business but starting from scratch with no experience it won't be easy. So if I could add anything to your plan I'd say hard work and study other people's funnels, learn as much as you can, spend as little as possible until you know the money's attached to a boomerang with glue on it.

I guess we're both part of the freshman class on here.

Master traffic. You know what you need technically, just focus on mastering traffic to build a list, and provide value for others. Your income is a reflection of the value you bring to other people's lives.

Yes the hard part getting traffic, at least you have everything else in place.

You will also want to setup an autoresponder series for your new signups.

Since everyone and their grandma sells affiliate products you will want to offer to your visitors something unique in your content. Do you want to give real reviews on the products or services you are promoting or keep it biased to get more commission?

The money will be in the content, I wouldnt settle for paid content unless you can find someone really good. Paid content is good for someone who has a ton of affiliate sites and not enough time to make it themselves.

Lastly you will want a plan to promote new content that you put up as well... social marketing and forum promotion is a good start.

I started off making some money by using free resources, then reinvested profits into:
1. Domain (which will be the domain name of my squeeze page)

Another option other than traffic would be affiliates. You collect a large number of affiliates to market your product and arrange the launch.

With your affiliates covering the traffic for you, you can focus on all the other aspects of your business.

1) WTF is with all these people saying .. "Good Plan" .. bla ba. Are you kidding me? See #2

2) You have NO PLAN.

What you outlined is NOT a business plan.
Saying "I want to be an affiliate marketer, I have a domain a host and an auto responder" is not a business plan. Its not even the start of a business plan.

A business plan is a step by step outline of exactly what your going to do.
You dont have this. In fact from what I can see you didnt even start your plan yet.

Here is a QUICK and DIRTY business plan.

1) Hire an Elance programmer to create a Facebook WP plugin
2) By hosting, and a domain name
3) Hire a worker from Elance to design a professional squeeze page offering the FB plugin for free on opt in
4) Buy solo ads to send traffic to the squeeze page
5) Augment the solo ad traffic with Facebook ad traffic
6) When I have built a list send them both WordPress and Facebook offers
7) Build trust and relationship with the list by giving them free stuff, training , tips etc.
8) Jump back to step 4

That is a business plan.

Seriously people need to just stop parroting "great idea" .. "I love it" stuff all the time. Ill be 100% honest, not trying to hurt anyone's feelings or anything but if you dont know. If you have not made money online, then you have no business even answering a thread like this. Your not helping people by just feeding their ego and telling them the wrong stuff.

That is a business plan.

Business plan? Not quite. But the concept of IM? Yes. It can be confusing just diving into IM not knowing what the sequence of events is or how the flow of traffic should work. As a beginner, you've got the overall idea!

But yes, as mentioned above, a business plan will dive into much, much greater detail.

I technically didn't go and execute these steps already because yes i still am planning. Some people have other ways of outlining things and the wording they use, and the word i should of been more clear with and said should have been "an idea" not a "Business Plan." when i meant business plan and i went and outlined what i said, that was my "idea of what I'd do." Otherwise i would have been more specific if it was planned, that's where there isn't much detail letting you know its an idea

And I Surely do appreciate that business plan you stated.

Will leave you a suggestion on autoresponder... not sure what you are planning to get but make sure you invest in a good one because this is what you will use to build a relationship with your list. Your list is the bread and butter of your online business so I would invest in a paid one if I were you

The best thing you can do for yourself is to learn what marketing strategies work best for you.

If you want to get fast and quick results for your efforts, I would go with pay per click marketing.

Most people tend to focus so much on having a nice squeeze page and other stuff but the traffic and consistent quality traffic is what is going to help you make sales.
