Need help with my site

Hello warriors,

I have this 4 months old site Top web hosts in world | Comparehost.info
This is basically a web hosting reviews site. I spent a few hundred dollar on google adwords and bing ads. After all this advertising i could get only ~50-60 visitors with no conversions. Now I really do not know what should I do.
I need your suggestions, and any suggestions that help me will work. I will be grateful if someone can advice me about SEO, PPC, or any other method that can increase conversions and traffic on my site.

Thanks

LOL, I went back 10 years when I started out with my first website, a host review site.

I managed to make a few sales over Forum Marketing, Social Marketing and Web 2.0 sites when they where ranking well.

But this is one of the toughest market to be in so ask yourself if you really want to stick to this niche before you continuous to invest your time, even worse your money (I would never pay for PPC in this niche).

It will not be easy to make a living in that niche but if you want to stick to it then I think that the best way is to publish a GREAT Newsletter about Hosting and publish that also as a Free magazine over an App to Android and Apple users.

Focus on user groups which do need hosting like people new to hosting (businesses), people which need to switch hosting etc.

You also could offer a free basic website setup for small business clients for a hosting purchase as an entry offer.

Newbies to Internet Marketing need at some point hosting, what is easier to sell if you run a free IM course for Newbies than over a review site.

The hosting review sites which are making money with free traffic from first page listings are almost all in the hands of a few companies, maybe even proper hosting companies.

Sounds like you're spending a minimum of $5 per click, in my opinion this is way too much. I suggest you do a lot more research on lowering your cost per click and increasing exposure or hire someone that's already experienced in that area. See my signature below.

bwh1 has very good points. There's one more thing - your website. I checked it and the first impression was "this is some sort of web directory". In other words, the design pulled me back and I just wanted to click the x button on the upper right corner.

Man, you should really change your design or theme. It's not attractive, not catchy. Sorry for being harsh, but "the truth will set you free". Take a look at some Wordpress review themes (themeforest, elegantthemes). Pay those 25 - 70 bucks, but you will have something much more prettier than your present design.

First off, you need a better web design. That also includes all your graphics and media files.

Focus on forums and social media, also do SEO. Base on my experience, that may not give you a lot of traffic but the conversion of traffic to sales are good.

Hi. I think your site could do with some content. Seo articles will in my experience give you a much better return on (and of!) investment. My own site is fairly new. Hence the reason I don't reveal the url.

But through writing seo articles that provide information that my audience wants, I am now getting over a 1000 unique visitors per month. And believe me when I say I haven't had time to write that many articles with exams around the corner.

Personally, if I were u, I would redirect the money you are spending on ppc to content production. What I've noticed is that you first need to provide people with value before you ask them for anything.

Before you ask them to join your list, like you, buy from you etc. Others say you need to build your authority first. They are saying the same thing.

Sorry to be loquacious. But my view is provide in demand content first. Have a strong value base established. Content includes articles, free reports, videos etc.

Give give and then give some more. All this in addition to your reviews. That will grow your traffic because content attracts both new and repeat visitors.

If writing seo articles sounds time consuming, you can enlist the help of writers at Content Kingdom | Home. I ordered 30 articles from them when starting out and that helped pump fuel into my traffic building quickly.

It also gave me a great lesson on how to write seo articles because you will notice that there is a definite yet non-impeding formula used to write their articles. In other words, their article please both humans and search engines.

      So value first.
      All the best
