Is the PLR market saturated?

I have an inventory of hundreds of PLR products and my idea was to build an online store and sell those products through email marketing.

I know PLR is still popular among many IMers but I am thinking this niche is over saturated?

What do you think?

It's highly competitive but again the more competitive it is, the more prospects of making money is there.

Well, you will have a lot of competition, seems to be growing more each day.

Also, sounds like your going to try selling the exact same products many others are already to sell.

Best route is to create your own PLR. You won't be competing with any one

Everything worthy of your devotion is arguably saturated.

My advice? Fight for your piece of the proven to exist pie... If that's the kind of pie you want.

      This. ^^

Avoiding a market due to "saturation" only makes sense when a market is heavily consolidated, very small, etc--and even under those market conditions it is often possible to grab a piece.

People worry way too much about competition in IM. There are few "blue oceans" (look it up)--and those turn competitive quickly.

    Hi,

If what you have to give is high quality then people will invest in you.

But if you're using the same old PLR that is out there already then of course
you won't be differentiating yourself from those other marketers out there.

What could you do to that PLR to make it more appealing and desirable?

Could you add your own content to those materials or even start creating
content on a daily basis........maybe 30 minutes a day and then after one
month you'll have enough content to sell or give away as 100% unique PLR content.

You can use it to build your lists too and then up-sell those who join your
lists to then buy your materials from the online store you talked about.

Hope this helps give you some ideas.

There is certainly an ever existing market for PLR that's for sure.

The main issue i see is how you can position yourself above all the other PLR sellers who just sell the same products on their sites.

Here's an idea that might work:
-> Create your own PLR (or have it created for you).
-> Sell it here as a Wso as PLR packages
    -> Build your buyers list
-> Rinse and repeat, promote to buyers list...

It will take some time but this is the best option i can come up with. What you'll need to do though is look for a segment in PLR which has a lot of potential to find repeat buyers.

Most people buy PLR products and never do anything with it. I would bundle them or change the Name, design and a few other things and just go for it. You still can make money from it if you have the right marketing for your product and if you are in the right spot!

I myself have done a lot of research on this topic because PLR is something that interests me. I think the market is saturated with bad PLR and because of this, PLR has gotten somewhat of a nasty reputation. I really think the trick is to produce your own high quality products.

So would it make more sense if instead of creating an online store selling the same old thing like everyone else, I create my own PLR packages and sell them to my list?

In other words, the model is just the same as someone who creates a product and market them to the list. The only difference is, I attached PLR to it?

It doesn't have to be either/or. You can put up a store as well as market to your list. But I agree that simply reselling the exact plr that others are selling might be a tough way to go. Maybe consider writing some original packages and offer the rehashed stuff as a free bonus or low-cost upsell.

Sell them to your list, or sell them on your site, like a store.

If you wanted to sell PLR, then yes, you could give the products those rights.

Of you could sell them with MRR, or sell them with personal use rights.

Depends on what you want to do, who you want to market to.

You originally asked about PLR, why every one gave their opinion about going the PLR route.

In addition to the above, you could concentrate on newer PLR (produced in the last year) and thus tend to be the first to strongly promote it, rather than the last to market 5+ year old e-books or packages.

    Definitely NO! A big NO.

If you are referring to Low Quality PLR products that has been around for more than 3 years and is being rehashed then it's all saturated!

But if you will try to do your research, there is not much quality PLR product that you will find out there.

Create an updated Quality PLR products and all of those Product Creators and List Builders out there will be coming to you!

Pointless exercise. PLR, not sure if it is worth the bother. Just write high quality content and sell it to sites needing it OR use it to create discussions that help others.

Transferable PLR vs Non Transferable PLR
If you're going to sell PLR content, rather sell Non Transferable PLR content that you created, than resell Transferable PLR content.

With Non Transferable PLR content, the only way that someone can get that specific PLR content, is to buy it from you. However, with Transferable PLR content, there's likely to be a lot of other people reselling the same PLR content as you, and some for a lot cheaper.

Stand out from other PLR sellers
I think that, if you want to make a decent profit selling (non transferable) PLR content, you have to stand out from your competitors or give PLR buyer's a reason to remember you.

For example, if someone is looking for PLR content on niche X, is your site going to be the first site they think of. Or, if they're looking for PLR content in a certain format or style, are they going to think about your site.

    Is the PLR market saturated?
Look at it this way... If you're selling PLR content on a niche that no one else is selling on (and provided that there's a sufficient demand for it), then it won't really matter how many other PLR sellers there are, because if someone wants PLR content on that specific niche, then they are going to buy it from you.

PLR is great as long as you get created with how you rewrite and/or package. Think out of the box, make it unique
