Wordpress wishlist question ...

Hi quick question, I am buying wishlist for my membership site and am wondering how the customer, once they have paid, gets to create their username and password.

Is their a secure page, that the plug in handles, where they go to register?

I thought that after they payed they could be sent to a registration page, where they would be set to go.

If you use wishlist could you please tell me if such a page exists.

Thanks
Ashley

I don't use the plugin myself, I'm afraid, but Ashley, have you contacted the plugin author with your question? I'm sure he or she will be able to answer your question.

The quote below is from the Customer FAQ at customers.wishlistproducts.com. However, if you have members signing-up for free directly on your site then they choose their own username and password during registration. Also, if you import registrations you can have the plug-in generate random passwords while you assign the username. I'm not sure how all of the different payment methods handle the process so it would be best if you contact WishList support and clarify any specific questions you may have (see this post for contact info):

"How do users receive their username and password when signing up for a membership on WishList Member? Depending on how you have the payment process setup, your members may be sent directly inside your membership.
When this happens their username automatically becomes their email address and their password is emailed to them.
I'd recommend creating a welcome page as your "Registration Redirect" page and on that you explain that their email is their username and their password has just been sent.
You should also explain that if they ever lose their password they can always get it back by clicking the "Lost Password" link in the login widget."

Its not automatic, its bit misleading. Buyer is redirected to a manual registration page and then redirected to membership area. Also the files are encyrypted so adding a 3rd party aff script won't qork.

There is Integration with Paypal, Clickbank, etc. You can also set-up the thank you page manually. I use Delavo to manage it and the affiliate program...
