The Message No One Likes To Hear
(Oh yes, this is the common denominator of failure I've seen over the past 6 years I've been in the online marketing world. People basing their faith in success on the shiny object, the "savior", the magic pill or silver bullet.
(And where does this take you? How long does this faith last?
(Three days.
(The energy to take action that's based on faith in a shiny object depletes in three days.
(Then the poor folk sit around in disappointment and fear for the next few weeks...until the shiny object train "Choo! Choo!" "Ka-ching! Ka-ching!" comes by again.)
...Or...
...you could base your faith in success on something else. Something that is inexhaustible. An endless source of energy:
YOU.
You, as the problem solver. You as the person who will stick it out, come what may, until you succeed.
You will figure it out. No matter how long it takes, you'll endure and keep learning and applying what you learn until you solve the problem.
When you move the source of belief in success, that so-critical faith, from the shiny object to you, you change.
Much of business and life comes down to showing up and sticking around until you outlast the problem. Business is trouble. Business is stress. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying and selling a dream. It can be tremendous fun. You can meet wonderful people. But you will not hit a magic point where all of your problems go away--they will simply be replaced by different...and probably bigger...problems.
So will you give up?
Is your faith in success based on the shiny object? (Then you'll give up within just a few days.)
Or is it based in YOU?
Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.
