A Moment of Clarity, An Attitude of Gratitude :-)

I woke up this morning and got to thinking, how important it is to be grateful for everything & everyone I have in my life. As a society, we tend to put so much energy into the things that cause stress, negativity, or just straight up don't even apply to our individual lives...

Examples:
1. Why should I care about Kim Kardashian's butt size?
2. What does Lindsey Lohan's jail time mean to ME?
3. How does Britney Spears' mental situations affected MY life?
4. Why should I need to know about Chelsea Clinton's wedding dress or even the location?

I'm sure not too many people think about this, but imagine how much of an impact we tend to put on other peoples' daily personal situations that have NOTHING to do with our own individual lives. Much less make any kind of positive contribution. It just floors me; you hear about one thing in the news that has NOTHING to do with you, that you should really care less about & before you know it you're Googling to find out more; & don't sit there & say you haven't done it, because I know I have! Does anyone realize the impact that creates on our daily lives when we could be doing more productive things that apply to ourselves, our loved ones or just plain taking time to focus on ourselves instead of someone else's body parts, legal issues or mental health?

So here I am today expressing gratitude for what I have going on in MY life, for people (online & off) who've been making a positive impact in MY life, for MY family, for MY kids... & for this awesome online community called the Warrior Forum full of people who care about helping each other get ahead in life & create their futures. If the energy OFFLINE were as positive & hepful as it is ONLINE here at WF, imagine what a great world we would live in... how the simplest things in life tend to create the biggest revelations!

I'm 26, but I've always been told that I've got a bit of an "old soul"; maybe the fact that I preferred the History Channel & my grandpa's war stories over Barbie was a clue? Anyway, so there's my piece of wisdom for today, sharing it with the community... feel free to contribute your ideas & maybe what YOU are grateful for today, or in general...

Life is amazing, so live it to the fullest, damnit!!

    Question of mindset I think!
    Small minds spend eternity talking ABOUT people;
Great minds allot their times advancing humanity.

Gossip is crap, I agree completely.

I'm a bit arrogant, so I don't even pretend I care about anything that doesn't affect me (well, I mean useless stuff like who won Stanley Cup or why some random actress divorced).

While I'm 22, others tend to call me "50-years-know-it-all", mainly because of I don't waste my time with parties, alcohol or extensive social contacts.

If i could say one thing to the world, it would be "Stop valuing yourself as others value you".

Are you blonde? i don't gossip at all... the moment i stopped social life went away. but i feel much better and more focussed now than before.
gossipping is suffering because u're talking about someone else(u have no control over them) who did something(in the past). That's double suffering.

Suffering is burning emotional energy on the uncontrollable. Now when you talk about someone, you are suffering. But when you talk about what they did and you have no control over their future actions, no hope sufferig.

Am I blonde? Yes. But what does my hair color have to do with offering my opinion about clarity and gratitude? lol.
