Do You Use Online Marketing For Self-Development?
Here are 5 areas where I've found lots of opportunities to improve myself:
- Generosity - Offering my skills and quality products to people at a reasonable price is an act of generosity -- to my customers, to my family and to myself. 'Reasonable' means a price that will support me and my family - NOT one that's so high it's a rip off to customers, or so low that it hurts me.
- .
- Kindness - Being kind is a good choice in every situation I can think of. Sometimes it feels difficult to pull off -- like if someone asks for a refund for a digital product you know they're going to use. But if they need it so badly that they're willing to lie to get it, they need it more than I do!
- .
- Honesty - I find it's best to admit when I make mistakes, instead of becoming defensive. Then I try to correct it as quickly as possible. If people still get angry, I can honestly say I did everything I could, and I can let it go and move on.
- .
- Self control - There are endless opportunities for patience. For example, when my WordPress theme tweak still doesn't look right after 6 hours of fiddling around with it!
- .
- The 'action habit' - Instead of passively waiting for the world to change (and complaining about it!), I get to take action to create a better world. For example, every time I choose a kind response instead of a mean one. And every time I create a new offer to increase my income (so I have more to share! This goes along with willingness to BE the change.)
(btw - I am NOT perfect, and sometimes I forget these things. Writing about them helps me to remember my 'path'!)
