How does this happen? So many people could have helped this guy but were afraid of or complicit with the PA State Police.

It's a site with an agenda - it's was an incident 4 years ago - if the video is as clear as described, this will be handled in court.

Because HN pm'd me some time ago and showed his hand. He's one of the Alexa Smith conspiracy trolls and he thought he could pm me with his BS and I'd buy right into it.

I didn't and told him so. He's a troll. Nothing more. He has no valuable input on anything. He is only here to harass Alexa and troll the forum until he is banned once again (and he's been banned numerous times before).

I already explained in full detail in my pm that Alexa could be a big fat man with a red buzz cut and I could care less. Alexa, as I know her, is a friend of mine. You most definitely are not. I don't care about her or anyone else's avatar or even if they are not the sex that they pretend to be, and I'm not in any way implying this is the case. I only care that Alexa and I have been friends for years and I respect her opinions and I think most of the time, she respects mine.

Yes the events took place in 2010 but I read about it for the first time today.....Posted on October 24, 2014 by Larry Hohol in News. It makes it no less troubling to me.

We like to think so, but sadly it isn't always the case. In order for the adversarial-type justice system to work, the defense needs to be as powerful and motivated as the prosecution.

Law-enforcement and prosecutorial intimidation is well documented, but cleaning it up is another matter entirely.

The problem may well be the court was a part of the problem, which is one of the points made by the author of the article. Sometimes it's up to the public and the media to hold the justice system accountable.

As far as any "agenda" is concerned, I found it interesting that a former LEO wrote the article.

Sad to say, this kind of crap is going on every day. The number of people killed by cops is escalating. The number of family dogs killed is escalating. Very rarely does a cop get charged for it. When they do, it's because someone filmed the incident.

I don't know the exact details of this case, but I am not surprised by it. I've seen this kind of thing go on. What chills me is the amount of militia equipment being sent to police departments now. Since when are police supposed to be militia?

Happened in 2010 - he was convicted of four counts - he served his sentence.

In 2012 he filed suit for police brutality - I'd say he had a good case. Don't know if that's gone to trial. The blogger is setting a case up as "that judge is crooked' and I think that's a bit of a crock.

I don't see the point of pulling up old news stories presented as "current" by blogs that clearly have an agenda ('police state'). Just my opinion and not worth much at that.

Goodness knows - there's enough bad stuff going on currently without having to dig for something to be outraged about.

HN loves to bash USA - won't say where he's from but I'm sure it's a bastion of freedom and culture and success.

Lyon County, NV - where I'm looking to move back to (um...maybe not, yikes) got a laser module, a Mine resistant vehicle, and a global positioning system receiver, night vision sites, a utility truck, laser range finders, a rescue and transport system, and a bunch of misc goodies like camoflauge clothes - winter and summer.

The article contains a couple of BLATENT LIES, which it, ironically, DOES indicate are blatent lies!

First of all, the person DID do a hit and run! it may be called different things in different states but it ALWAYS means that you hit someone or something, and left the scene. He DID, so he DID! The article says "ALLEGEDLY" like he didn't. It implies that a biological injury is needed for the offense. It ISN'T!

THEN, it says that "He had consumed no alcohol or illegal substances". Well, THAT is actually a lie on its face, since he overdosed, which is not legal, but the law really doesn't have to do with alcohol or "illegal substances". They even generally name it to make the idea CLEAR! The idea is the INFLUENCE! The article ITSELF says: "it seems that his decision-making abilities may have been affected by his legally-prescribed medication used to treat his bipolar disorder."

Although the rest sounds unforgivable and just BAD, I can see how being in a manic spell could make him a danger and annoy the cops. And the article CLEARLY implies that he WAS in a manic spell.

Frankly, I don't trust sites like this, and they have constantly said they would prevent what is NOW the future, from happening, while crying wolf and serving to hide VALID problems by wasting peoples time looking at the non existent problems. They may EVEN make leones problem worse, by annoying the cops more and causing them to even over react here.

Steve, no one disputes the danger of driving while impaired, or that he drove away from accident (which he may or may not have known he was in, who knows). The problem is the treatment he received at the hands of law enforcement 'professionals' and the subsequent travesty of justice.

We cannot afford to have LEOs who 'overreact' or who act out of annoyance or emotion. They're to do a job, and to do it with the minimum level of force necessary to get it done.

And last but not least, it was most emphatically NOT 'a blatant lie' that he had consumed no alcohol or illegal drugs. He did not.

I certainly don't want to have ANY level of government overreact, harass. etc.... But I hate it when people twist stories, etc.... to make it look likethings are worse than they are. It desensitizes people.

And last but not least, it was most emphatically NOT 'a blatant lie' that he had consumed no alcohol or illegal drugs. He did not.
The drugs WERE illegal! It was an overdose of a controlled substance. TECHNICALLY, the SAME applies with ALCOHOL! They have a "legal limit". Go OVER the DOSE to get to the point below that, and you are THEN convicted of BEING OVER THE LIMIT! But STILL, there is the bit about INFLUENCE!

It happens! when I was a lot younger I had a run-in with the police and one of them punched me in the face, he broke/sprained his wrist and I was charged with assault on police..

The funny side to this was the medical report of the cops injury was accidently sent to my lawyer..he was in court giving evidence his hand in a plaster-caste..
(the police report stated..the office touched defendant on face)

The police given a reprimand by the judge.

    The case was thrown out..

So I am not the only one HN pm'd? He wasn't really rude in the ones he sent me - he was just trying to figure out why I said he couldn't know the languages he claims to know. Kept coming back with more "what ifs". Then he tried to tell me that he knew 80 written and I lost it and called him a few names and laughed at him. Told him to go on and keep insisting and looking like a total fool to anyone who knew anything beyond high school grammar about the subject. It was okay because people already were taking him as a bit of a joke. He took a fast hike after my last answer to him.

Strangely ---- I believe that I know that troll from another name in here before. Something about the structure of his sentences and the way he used his words......I can't put my finger on who it was, but I definitely don't believe this was his first time or name in this forum.
