Isn't this NICE news? Maybe LATER, the inuit may be declared as "threatened"

I read reports from the scientists who are studying the bears a few years back. They said there's only two out of 19 clans that are having trouble. I had checked because there were some non-profits yelling about donations for them. Guess there aren't enough animals in real trouble for them to scream about. Whenever you have doubts about something going on, find the reports from the scientists actually there and working with the situation or you're going to end up learning your "science" from media.

The IPCC about that time also ticked off the scientists actually on the Himalayas when they gave false data. India threatened to walk out of talks if the info wasn't corrected. Seems the scientists actually on the glaciers said nothing of the sort was going on.

We have a simplistic way of pushing agendas - we have to find a target that people relate to and then we have to tell the story of what is happening to the target.

Then people get upset and sign petitions and write letters and march carrying signs and shouting "ho ho, hay hay" followed by a protest slogan that ends with "today". How original.

I expect most who are writing about demise of polar bears and probably many other "dire problems" have never been to areas inhabited by polar bears. Probably have never seen one outside a zoo, if there.

A couple years ago I saw a short documentary about "poor polar bears" and I was upset about it. So I spent some time online and in the library researching the facts - and papers and articles from those who study polar bears rather than those who are environmental activists.

I have no doubt humans are harming the environment. We know people are decimating wildlife species in many ways - some deliberate and some incidental.

I'm beginning to believe the earth is more resilient than we think. I think before we destroy this planet and its atmosphere - it will destroy US and have time to rejuvenate before human populations grow again. Wouldn't that be a kick?

Humans are ALREADY seeing problems due to overpopulation. The very idea of CO2 being a "greenhouse gas" ironically proves that! Sessions was RIGHT when he called it a PLANT FOOD! CO2 is created by MANY things! If we keep ignoring plants, humans WILL die!

    Heysal,

DECADES ago, I heard of people having SEVERE symptoms from vitamin A overdose! The reason? Check out the most "toxic" natural source here! Hypervitaminosis A - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ironically, they list FIVE animals, and at least the first 3 are primarily hunted by tribes in alaska with the liver being a prized part. The liver is a prime source of vitamin A. The 4th is probably hunted mostly by people that prefer meats to organs, and the 5th is a prized work animal, so they are probably not often eaten like the other 3.

I might be wrong, but I BELIEVE those tribes have a treaty similar to that of the american indians. They are allowed to do such things.

ALSO, polar bears are HUGE, CUTE, and have a nice skin and fur. That makes them especially prized, and not as pets.

CO2 isn't a pollutant. All they need to do to sequester it is replant some of what they're tearing apart and stop the BS industrial farming.

Humans have screwed up and we're less than a decade from finding out exactly how bad. That's how Monsanto and ilk are getting away with GMO - they sterilize. Unfortunately, they can render humans extinct before too long, so they messed up allowing them anyway.

Kay's right - we're so close to collapse as a species that the rest that we haven't already done in will have a chance because most of us are a done deal.
