UFC Fighter TJ Dillashaw Did It Again

In his two defeats of long unbeaten UFC world champion (now ex) Renan Barao, a bigger and stronger man widely considered to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world before their first fight, TJ Dillashaw has taken something as brutal and primitive as fighting in a cage to a level that it is art, ie martial art.

There where a bunch of good fights last night. The two female fighters where real good. I was having a hard time believing they actually want to fight Rhonda though.

Miesha Tate has already been decisively beaten by RR. I think Bethe Correia will prove to be Ronda Rousey's biggest challenge yet.

That Bethe is an animal. With both undefeated it should be a real good fight.

Rousey beat Tate twice. But both times, Tate made a good showing.

The Rousey and Coreia fight looks promising.

I was actually more impressed with the Barboza - Felder fight. Edison Barboza's kicks are amazing.

Ronda stunk up the show again. 34 seconds...daaaaaaayum. She's amazing.

I wonder how she would do against a 135 pound trained UFC male fighter. I have a feeling, she would still be about the best there is. Her Judo is unbelievable.

She reminds me of Mike Tyson. (at least the young Mike) Totally focused. And just about unbeatable. Have you ever seen training videos of a young Mike Tyson? Scary stuff.

When Mike was with Cus he lived and trained about 30 miles from me. Many of his early fights were local here and would be on public access TV. People here got into the habit of not blinking after the bell rang real quick. Back then Mike was one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet outside the ring.

Was just thinking about this and realized something. I watched Expendables 3 last night and Rhonda's fight scene in the movie lasted longer then most of her actual fights.

Both Dillashaw and Rhonda are two of my favorite fighters. Dillashaw's dismantling of Barao was a thing of sheer beauty - both times. His technical skills are awesome.

Rhonda's focus, technique, and training ethic are legendary and it shows in the ring. It's going to take a special fighter to beat Rhonda. Goodtimes.

It took Ronda Rousey 34 seconds to defeat Bethe Correia. That is longer than the time it took her to defeat her previous two opponents... combined.
