Blagging - getting something with cunning, guile, confidence and bluster. (In the US they call it "baffle 'em with BS.")

Dobbing-in - reporting someone to the popo. (Popo - LA term for la policia.)

Correct me if I am wrong on these definitions.

    Some Irish slang:

    Well sham! = Hello friend!

Suddenly I can't think of any more Irish slang.

Dobbing is correct. I have never heard of blagging.

Blagging is actually Cockney (Londoner) slang.

      Some more Aussie-isms are:

      Chooks - chickens
      Dunny - a toilet.
Cobber - mate, friend, pal, buddy
Schooner - a beer glass size, equivalent to a pint.
      Drongo - idiot, fool, Claude

The first four of these are immortalised in this Aussie "classic".

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

Both "Blagging" and "Dobbing in" both have British roots. "Blagging" is still in very common use but "Dobbing In" has gone out of fashion and has been replaced with "grassing"
