The United States has not had a military draft since 1973 in the Vietnam War era, but all men must register with the Selective Service Systems within 30 days of turning 18.

    It's time - this is something I've supported for years.

    You can't call for and legislate "equality for women" and skip this part. Women in the military have NEVER been able to accumulate points as men could because they could not be sent to the front lines.

    This made it harder for women to move up the chain of command - and to compete for jobs after military retirement. Women are now on the front lines and it needs to be equal all the way!
