How is your life awesome?

It is 2pm on a Friday afternoon and I'm drinking an ice cold Heineken, listening to classic rock and waiting for a very fun date tonight.

I'm semi-working on finance stuff for a client and semi-working on IM stuff but really don't have a care in the world.

My crazy cat keeps pushing up under my typing hands trying to get my attention and I just remembered there's chocolate in the living room.

Oh... and my most difficult decision today is to chose to continue working, or go rent the new Call of Duty game.

Why is your life awesome? What makes you happy and what are you appreciative for?

Hi Adam - just draining a cup of terrific french roast coffee here.

Checking through my email I found that my first physical product (2010 calendar for my main niche) is being entered with the other "bests" on Amazon by the publishing company -- for free.

I had a few notes from pals and just found a new member of my rockhound forums (that have just been newly built after a severe hacker thrashing of the old one) from right here in the WF. So there is someone new there that understands multi-levels of my favorite pass time.

The sun is shining brightly here and the Christmas decorations are sparkling all over town. I am thinking of taking my roomie's kid's scooter up to her at school to pick her up today. She loves riding that thing back and forth and I love walking in the sun.

I had an interesting telephone interview with a rockhound who is in my networking group but I just became acquainted with and I had a very interesting talk with him and have a good feature with some great pics for the newsletter I am finishing up now.

I have a fruit plate sitting in front of me to munch on while writing this stuff. The fresh fruit tastes terrific.

Wow - - this is a little too much happy for me. I think I'll stop now before I have a complete meltdown.

If I wake up in the morning it's an awesome day.
If I don't, well I guess I would be dead and probably won't care.
So far roughly 20,618 awesome days in a row.

What a minute, you got chocolate?

Every morning i get to watch the sun rise on tampa bay while crossing the bay itself on a motorcycle. The job i'm going to sucks, but the ride is great. Some of the most beautiful colors in natures palet

all around, i feel pretty good, and my family is healthy. I've got a little money in my pocket and nobody is looking for me.

all in all, things are good

(p.s. i have a fresh batch of homemade oatmeal rasin cookies waiting at home..so it really can't get much better)

I used to go to Dunedin Beach to watch the sunsets.
Back in the 70's the beach was always empty.
I would park the bike, light up a fatty, open a beer, and just be impressed I got to witness the best sunset I've ever seen.
Then I saw a sunset in Key West.

I don't remember it's name, but on Duval St. there is a hotel that is like the tallest building on Key West.
Every evening you can go up on the roof and watch the sunset.
They have a couple of outdoor bars and some really neat spots to watch from.
The dock or waterfront area is neat also. Has a conch carnival air to it.
The next time I ride to Fl. I want to do the Keys again.
If it happens I'll let you know before hand.

I found money in the dryer and it wasn't mine, but is now

I finished my outdoor skating rink a month ago and contrary to the Farmer's Almanac I just used it a month before they predicted

A 4 wheeler I was going to sell for parts fired right up and shot a 10 foot flame out the muffler thanks to a tank full of sea foam

the dog pooped on the tile and not the carpet

I didn't do a thing at work today except go around and talk to people before they leave for winter break

I have a husband of 20+ years that I adore. I don't have a J.O.B. (although that may have to change if I don't start doing more with the IM thing.) I am 2 days away from my 48th birthday and I feel great. (Yes, I tell my age. I know it isn't the "thing to do" but I feel like youth is a gift, and age is an accomplishment!)

I turned 55 in November. It doesn't bother me one whit to tell my age. I'm in great shape and don't find a lot of birthdays something to be ashamed of. I hate to clue women in who feel they need to lie or hide their age.....
I think it was a man thing from back in the days where guys thought it was real impressive to have women half their age on their arm - and I think that age passed when women got out of the house and started taking care of themselves after 30. Now days they seem to appreciate older women who are in shape, intelligent.......and of course in the US the lower life forms also worry about how much money they have. LOL.

    • My daughter moved out last weekend!

When I told my co-worker (who's 27), she asked how old my daughter was. I said 22, next month. She said, "no way, you don't look old enough to have a daughter that old! I thought you were only in your mid-30's"!

YUP! Life's been good to me.

So, what I'm going to do this weekend?

Same as usual, troll here for hours on end to get more great ideas to move forward with my many business enterprises!

After Conan, I either sit at the computer and play on forums for a few hours or just lay with my puppy and go off to slumber... with all ringers and compys off. No alarms, no meetings before 11am, nothing to disturb my beautiful sleep time. Get up in the morning, go for a jog and do some weights - all at my own pace, getting ready for another fabulous day.

No boss breathing down my neck, never accept assignments I don't like....life is very good here

and this morning - our first snow of the year

I have been spoiled by having people do my work for me - cooking, cleaning, the works. Now, apart from my regular job, and the time I spend on the net, I have to do all this by myself and I'm thrilled that I am managing on my own. I'm independent and that's awesome!

Looking across my sofa, I have my 2 year old and 5 year old lying across my golden retriever, while I answer questions on the main forum, and my husband cooks up an Irish stew in the kitchen after bringing me a glass of wine and giving me a big kiss after I walk in from work.

What more could I ever want?
