RIO DE JANEIRO - A Brazilian man publicly confessed to pushing dozens of needles into his 2-year-old stepson, saying Sunday he intended to kill the boy out of spite for his wife and didn't think he would be discovered.

    In this case, I think you are being too kind.

    Sadly, there was a recent case less than an hour from my home. It's an awful story, but here are the details (below the disabled video).

    Frankly, I am TORN! I would like to see such people suffer far worse, even maybe put out of our misery, but I would ALSO like to see them SUFFER PUBLICALLY.

    Did you guys see the last episode of dexter? Dexter has a LOT of problems himself BUT, at least, he is helping repair a part of the system that is broke. Ironically, though he became a serial killer, he tries to only go after really bad people that are guilty and escaped the legal system.

    Apparently the person that caused HIM to start doing this became one of his victims, and he killed the person, BUT, as the person was being pursued, he killed dexter's wife, and put one of his sons through the same turmoil.

    Remember the Saw movie where the girl was thrown into the vat of syringes to retrieve the door key? I think something similar for the step dad would work.

      When I read things like this, I always think to myself. What the frig do people be thinking to commit such disgusting acts. It's only a few days ago too that a young 14 month old baby was raped and beaten to death by her step father..... There was a reason why firing lines and hangings used to be maintstream and still should be.

    The step-father's story seems to have changed. At first he was trying to blame the lover for it. He said she would go into a "trance" and tell him what to do and that they were just trying to keep the boy alive.

    Apparently, the father is not only a *******-covered-*******, but also a pretty stupid liar.

    It's a very unusual case but it the child needs justice for that.. I can't even imagine that kind of brutality for a stepson..

    This kind of stuff burns me the **** up! This is why the torture devices used back in the day need to be brought back and see who wants to be made an example of then. This is utterly insane.

    The tripped out thing about the ever so growing number attacks on children is how I've heard ignorant people say to not rob children of their innocence by telling them of the **** that happens in this **** up world. They need to know as early as possible because they are the **** target!!!!! It's like what world are you living in?

    A 14-month old?!! Are you **** kiddin' me!! A bullet is too **** easy.

    The laws are like a tap on the hand to these **** up criminals and therefore, they do not fear jail, prison, probation. Some of them take comfort in the arms of the law, but bring out the torture devices of old (and no using numbing medicines) and it'll make them think a **** lot before doing anyone harm.

    You know I heard one lawyer say that the justice system is not purposed to punish. I had no idea, but I can see why the laws are the way that they are (if that is true).

    Extreme acts causes for extreme measures/punishment.

    What can be done to stop this?
