My theory on who a genius is - Acquired or genetics
Genius is "acquired," but only in the sense that it results from certain kinds of choices. The very best types of genius results from truly right choices. On the other hand, there is a type of genius that results from extremely selfish, depraved, destructive choices.
Thomas A. Edison, the prolific American inventor, described genius best as follows:
"Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.
Choices to work hard, think clearly, be curious, be passionate and sincerely committed to discovering truth and reality are common to geniuses. In addition, the application of common sense.
I also believe every human being is essentially equal to all others. Our two most important innate human abilities are:
1. Our ability to always choose freely, and
2. Our ability to be aware.
These natural gifts are the great equalizers that every human was endowed with from conception.
Having said that, who can deny that all humans do not manifest or perform equally, especially in intellectual matters. Some appear exceptionally smart, while others come across as being downright stupid. If we are all "equal," what accounts for this difference?
The explanation for the difference is likely to be found in the various individuals' personal subconscious mind. The difference lies in a person's subconscious most basic intentions, subconscious basic parent-related negative agreements, subconscious major selfish behavior patterns, and key subconscious selfish reactions. None of these influential subconscious factors is conscious or obvious. However, they all play a huge role in determining a person's day-to-day experience and behavior. In effect, depending on their specifics, they can turn a person into a genius or idiot.
